The action is not driven by oppressive weapon battles where the hero/heroine somehow overcomes insurmountable odds because they are special. The sex is adult but is not based upon the standard coital conceit of hero meets either heroine or villainess and they have intercourse before trauma. The plot doesnt require fantastic inventions or the idiot principle that insults the readers intelligence to make the story work. Despite not employing these conceits, Painless delivers all the comedy, tragedy, sex, violence, drama, and the big finish that modern global audience desire.
