THE OTHER SIDE is solid evidence of Wynonna's willingness to explore the boundaries of country music; in "Don't You Throw That Mojo On Me," she is delightfully full of bravado, fiercely tackling the bluesy song. "We Can't Unmake Love" shows a soft, restrained Wynonna harmonizing beautifully with singer John Berry, and the ballad "Come Some Rainy Day" is a classic torch song brought to life by Wynonna's powerful, emotional vocals. Most emblematic of THE OTHER SIDE, however, are forceful, upbeat country songs such as "The Wyld Unknown," with its direct and unmistakably personal lyrics: "You don't want to cross my little mama/And you sure don't wanna mess with me/Cause there's a wild streak running down from the roots/To the top of my family tree." | Musical Guests | | Naomi Judd | | Tammy Rogers | | Kenny Wayne Shepherd | | John Berry | | David Pack | | Terry McMillan |
