Oster Professional Series Blender

This blender at this price ~ $48 is a steal. It is cheaper than the lower models and performs flawlessly. It is heavy duty in comparison to the run of the mill plastic/rubber drive blenders, with its square steel shaft and torx style socket on the glass jar. This blender can't be beat for the price, thanks buy.com! Oh yeah, it chops ice better than a lot of the other brands that claim to have "ice breaker" technology. It is a bit loud, but I am a guy and appreciate good tools with HORSEPOWER!

Just got this after extensive research, and I'm very happy with my choice. Looks great on the counter, even originally preferred a stainless base, but the black is very cool and probably doesn't show every little smudge either. Didn't even know the glass jar was 'hammered' effect(cause it didn't say in the listing), but that too looks very nice. As far as performance, so far seems great. Has done ice very well, and purees everything just fine. Only complaint would be that it's alittle too noisy, wish it was quieter, but really how long do you run the thing? Not long enough to have sound be a major criteria. Was going to get the Braun, but read from many about all the breakdowns, and this, with the All Metal parts should avoid that to a large degree. So far this has been a great purchase and for the price, a wonderful addition to our kitchen appliances and I hope to have it for many years! I highly recommend choosing this blender over all the others out there...and really, who needs five million buttons to basically do one function. Unneccessary frills, in my book :)

So far so good. Crushes ice in a few seconds. Easy to clean and a no brainer to use. Very professional looking on my kitchen countertop. A bit on the noisy side but who cares? Oster does have a respected reputation which was why I considered purchasing this blender. I'm guessing I'll be having this unit for a long time.

I love this blender. It's sleek and great looking. It was also a good bargain. I only use to make pina coladas and daquaris. The only flaw is that it's really loud, but it gets the job done.

Works better than any blender I've seen. This is the same as the popular beehive blender that goes by a similar model number. Be sure to hand wash and dry the blades to prevent rust.
