    This is the second Oreck air cleaner I have purchased. The first one ran continually for 3.5 years and the motor finally gave out. I hope this one performs as well. We really like the cleaner. You can really notice the reduction in the amount of dust when the machine is running versus when it is not.

    i had to buy this because i am stock in my office all day and the guy sitting next to me is always coming in with allergy's. so i went a head and did some research and found that this item is the best deal n air purifiers, i purchased one from buy.com on deal of the day and i got it. at first i was concerened it may not do anything but i was wrong. not only did it work but a few weeks later a few people in my office purchased one. it's a great product. definitly recommend it to everyone. good job oreck

    There was a funky smell every time I went into the basement apartment. I could not pinpoint it. As soon as this product was on for a day, I noticed the smell was reduced. After about two weeks, the smell that was there every so often was completely gone. We have had it on now for about two months now and am so happy. No funky smell at all. Now the apartment is fresh as a daisy all the time. I would recommend it highly.

    the oreck xl is ok...i would have purchased another purifier with a hepa filter but since i have a small room and since i already bought this item...i was too lazy to return it...overall this purifier is ok...ive seen less dust and my room also is fresh as well

    Works fine, for 3 months, then doesn't do anything but blow dirty air. We cleaned the system, You have to buy their cleaning fluid, and still nothing. Support is a joke. The "Free" Refrigerator Air Purifier, works great. If you decide to buy this thing, make sure you buy the Extended Warranty, and keep the boxes that it came in. Print out the receipt, register it and be prepared to buy all the extras. (cleaners, Filters)

    I've been suffering from allergies for the past several months due to the fact that I got a dog. I absolutely love my puppy though so there was no way I was going to get rid of her. I desided to give the Oreck Air Purifier a try. My hopes were that it would work even half as well as their advertisement says. I recieved my Oreck the day before my friend came to stay with me for 2 months with her heavily shedding dog. I can not believe the difference the Oreck made! My nose and eyes feel so much better, even with the presence of two dogs, with the Oreck. I would recommend this air purifier to anyone; in fact, I've already told lots of allergy sufferers I know what a difference it makes.

    This item is a little noisy when you run it on high but that is the only draw back so far. The noise you hear is the fan because of the fan blowing at high speed. The unit also came with a mini refrigerator air purifier which is noiseless and i can tell the difference in the smell of my fridge. There is no smell,lol. You do have to supposedly change the charcoal filter every two months and the unit comes with only one.

    about a year ago we had a baby and the doctor recommended that we get this Oreck Air purifier for our babies room. so i went a head and purshased it from Oreck website for $359 plus shipping and we have been using it for a year now and it works great. i'm going to buy two of them today for that price because i can use them in other rooms. Good job with this deal BUY.com i definitly recommend this product to everyone. especially with the poluted air society we live in. (:
