 Editor's Note
Originally produced as a television special for Showtime, this fantastic live special features the now-deceased rocker Roy Orbison with several equally legendary rock performers. Friends and colleagues including Jackson Browne, Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt, Elvis Costello, and Tom Waits joined Orbison at Los Angeles's Coconut Grove in order to collaborate with and pay tribute to this irreplaceable rock and roll talent. Songs performed include many of the classic songs of romance that made him famous--from "Oh, Pretty Woman" to the tragic ballad "Crying." Shot in black and white, this performance looks as beautiful as it sounds, featuring at any one time a killer all-star band onstage, clearly loving every minute of playing with Roy, who of course outshines them all.

5 of 5 Roy and Bruce rock the place!!! Thursday, October 02, 2008 Theadore77 from Alice, TX
Roy Orbison has always been my idol. I actually picked this Blu-ray up yesterday along with the Roy box set: The Soul of Rock and Roll. I love the way Roy’s voice floats smoothly like a cool summer breeze. This concert that Roy Orbison did has to be my all-time favorite. The song he did with Bruce Springsteen “Dream Baby (How Long Must I Dream)” is the greatest song ever. His and Bruce’s harmonies work like clockwork. This Blu-ray is a must have for any fan of classic rock! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Last great tribute? Thursday, October 02, 2008 steph bailey from Perry, NY
Quite possibly the last great tribute of the late Roy Orbison, this one night only musical masterpiece features some of the greatest musicians of the time. As a sign of respect, some of the greats like Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, Elvis Costello, and even Elvis’ touring band got together to perform some of the great hits of Roy Orbison’s catalog. What a treat it turned out to be. Perfectly mixed and produced, this great show would have been an honor to attend. Wish I could have been there….. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 What a great night of tribute Thursday, October 02, 2008 Everdeane75 from East Moline, IL
“Crying” is my favorite song of all time. It reminds me of the loss of my husband, every time I hear it. Included in this incredible night of music, “Crying” brings tears to my eyes. Roy Orbison has faced much tragedy in his life and this song fits perfectly. Roy Orbison, a great musician. R.I.P. Roy Orbison "the greatest singer in the world" -Elvis about Roy Orbison
“And I'll always be
crying over you, crying over you”

5 of 5 priceless Thursday, October 02, 2008 lcaldwell85 from altadena, ca
i previously owned the audio version of this performance, but since my fiancé recently purchased a blu-ray player, i figured i would get this disc. since we’re all listing our favorites here, mine would have to be the “pretty woman” rendition with everyone participating on stage. priceless. 5 of 5 Give him credit!!! Superb Voice! Thursday, October 02, 2008 Eric Gordon from Williamstown, PA
I don’t think you can find another musical artist who didn’t deserve more credit than Roy Orbison. Somehow overshadowed his entire career, Roy shines in this perfect tribute from the other stars. My favorite song has always been “In Dreams” and when the Violinists put the famous Roy Orbison sunglasses on makes it that much better! Roy’s music is truly what keeps his legend alive!
