We got this item just a few days ago. We have wasted our money within a few minutes. The plane did not respond to the poor transmitter, got airborne (without us wanting to) and then it crashed. Since it is cheap material it broke into over 10 pieces.

I bought this item online and didn't bother to mention the lack of a special battery, now I have to order the battery seperatly and pay shipping twice.

Very fun to fly on land, water, and the air. I would recommend this for any teenager or adult. Don't really think its a child's toy. You can even add aftermarket parts to it. Theres even a forum on RCGroups or RCUniverse.

This toy does not come with any battery. It uses a special lipo and lipo charger that is not included. You might find this hard to find in the literature/advertisments. The toy is NOT a good flyers for beginners, and prior RC flying skills are mandatory. If you just want to run around on the grass, cement, then no flying skill is needed.

Have owned one for a couple of weeks and its more than I expected! Just getting the hang of flying it but its great on the ground. Beats the heck out of any RC car I've owned. Being able to go airborne from a parking lot is just awesome, you gotta have one, thanks air hogs!!!

Very Fun! You need a little bit of R/C experience for this one but no a whole lot. I recommend getting a Aero Ace or some little plane first to get used to flying R/C. If you a beginner you might fine the Storm Launcher a little bit frustrating. All in all its fun and fairly easy to fly!

The product exceeded my expectations BUT they (Air Hogs) failed to let you know you need to buy their separate and costly power pack specific to the product. I have had my Storm Launcher for 3 weeks and cannot get the battery pack/charger anywhere. I still can't wait to try it out !

This plane worked great about three times, and then the tail piece became loose and fell off. It was used in a reasonable way, no extremes. IT's made out of a foam type material and isn't durable at all. I'm very disappointed in it.

I no like it my self chinese toys are better but I see american boys down the street playing with it and they look as if they have lots of fun with it so i guess i give it 4 stars

escuse my english is no good. i buy this for my 7 kids and they have fun. sometimes they fight for it. my friends bet on the fights. it is fun for you whole family.

It only took a few flights to learn how to fly it. The only drawback is that the battery does not last that long approx. 10 mins. I am having a hard time trying to find a back up battery. Otherwise, Lots of fun !!!

i got this rc toy a week ago it broke in five days sure it worked for a little i mean it was great at first but then it broke and on the battery it say DO NOT GET BATTERY WET and there was no cover for the battery on the storm launcher i do not recomend this toy

This is only the 2nd RC I've ever owned. The first was a car years ago that I crashed on first test run and demolished. This little critter has taken a real beating while I learned how to fly it. I have hit every pole, tree, sign and house within sight and it is no worse for the wear. You need at least two batteries though if you want to have a little more flight time between charges. Some good quality clear tape is also a must to keep the parts in place if you're rough on it like me.

This product, after having so much experience wih other rc's, is the best electrical remote control vehical on the market. I've flown many gas powered planes and helicopters, but nothing (shockingly) compares to the speed, agility, versatility and Product quality to Price Ratio of this RC. It's the best. I highly recommend it

This plane is not suitable for flying. What ever goes up must come down. The material used breaks apart on landing. It is unbelievevable that the body is made of foam.Have the makers ever heard of plastic!! It abuses batterys. The Charger is required to fly it. It is a leamon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been into r/c for over 20 yrs. All my r/c vehicals are nitro this is my first electric. Just had to have one when i seen the ad. This thing is great thanks "Michael Connally" for such a great product. (Michael connally was one of the first to invent something like this)

You would think the battery pack would at least be stocked beside the toy its intended for. Or maybe even in the box(no thats just too easy). Especially since the toy doesn't work without it. There's 10 toys on the shelves and zero battery packs. Whats up with that. Doesn't the manufacturer ship one to one. Charge more and package it in the box. Anyone buying this will have no idea they have to have a seperate battery pack. Unless you read the fine print. Oh and don't forget the 6 other AA's you still have to cram into this toy. Manufacturer Sucks. Good R & D crappy marketing. Gives a new meaning to "batteries not included". It should read "Batteries & battery packs not included and ask the nearest 12 year old assistant to search 3 aisles down for it because you're screwed".

I got this for Christmas for my 2 boys and their dad. The motor did not work properly and it never would fly. We were very disappointed. My husband threw it in the trash. We had alot more fun with a remote controlled boat. I wish I would have bought 2 of those instead.

1.don't like the material it break 2 easy 2.the tail of the plane is to fragile 3.battery need longer life spand 4.bottom of storm launcher tears away on the ground. but other than that I love it

I was SO HAPPY Christmas morning when I saw the box, but when I opened it up I WAS FURIOUS! IT WAS STYROFOAM. I thought hmmmmm maybe it is more durable than i think because the styrofoam might flex and allow more and harder crashes than I thought. NOPE!My first time i took it out (a couple of days later) I crashed one time (not even very hard at that) and IT BROKE. But Air Hogs (the biggest bunch of pig-headed moronical losers ever) tells you if it breaks to tape it and it will be FINE. THATS A LOAD OF BULL!!! DONT BUY ONE IT IS A HUGE WASTE OF YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!! I would rate it -486.2 if i could.

This product is JUNK. I bought for my son for Christmas and it lasted about 10 minutes.He was so disapointed! I took battery back as I thought it was defective. NOT. The new one worked about the same or less. Needless to say I took it back for a refund.

Santa gave two of my sons this toy for Christmas. One of them would get into the air and then it would stop working. The other one let his brother fly it and he took his finger off the thrust. It immediately did a nose dive into the grass and smashed into many pieces. What else would foam do?

This is such a great toy with hours of fun. make sure you practice a lot or else the plane will break into many pieces. we had fun with it!

What a waste of money! My husband wanted this for his birthday. He used it less than a week and it broke. The styrofoam is just too weak. He followed the directions on how to drive & fly it, so it's not like he was irresponsible in using it. Given the price with the battery, it's not worth purchasing. I wish I didn't waste the money on this silly thing.

My 8-year old son really wanted this. I think the suggested age is 10, though. The Storm Launcher is rather delicate. The rear fin broke right away; probably about the second time we tried it. I think I broke it when it hit the ground and tumbled. But, we were able to just tape it back just as the instructions say. About the third time we got bold and flew it into the air. It went way up high. So cool; we were both excited. I flew it high first, then my son. I crashed it on a hill; it ran out of power when me some was flying it and it came almost straight down. Still, the only damage was that rear fin which came off, again. Oh! one of those smaller styrofaom fins at the back came off another time...taped it back. So, after three times, it's still in flying shape. We'll have to see how it holds up over the long haul.

The storm launcher was fun for my 8 year old and my 14 year old sons. My husband enjoyed it as well. The only downfall is the battery does not last long, but otherwise it did what it claimed. Haven't gotten down the tricks yet, but that will come with practice.

I got this toy for my son after seeing him get excited about the TV commercial. He's pretty experienced with R/C (air, land and water) so I felt good getting this. The item is very light (styrofoam) which made it very difficult to control...virtually impossible in high wind conditions. My son uses it mostly on land and water. It's not really comparable to an airplane as we thought.

My only complaint is that the power pack has to be purchased separately. My son was so disappointed on Christmas morning that he could not use his new toy. It was not made clear to me that I had to purchase the power pack separately. It should be included.

I have never flown an RC plane before, and this one is FAST! Crashed it over and over, and hardly damaged a thing. Biggest bummer is paying extra for the batteries, but since the battery technology is new, it will eventually come down.

Maybe it was just bad luck, but we used this for about 30 seconds before it flew up into the air and the rear tail fell off. It was #1 on my 9 year old's wish list and he was so upset. I just returned it today, against my better judgement for an exchange, because it looks & feels like a piece of junk. I've seen the commercials and it will be interesting to see if our replacement works or if it is just another piece of garbage. All in all this was a frustrating purchase.

Yes, it's made of styrofoam, which makes me think it's over priced. It is also very easily damaged. We had to reinforce the tail assembly with a couple bent paper clips because the tail fin broke on the first flight. Also, thank goodness for the 2 extra propellers, because we broke two on the first day as well (with the "propeller guards" in place). Additionally, it's flight characteristics are not as good as expected. It needs a fairly long take off area (50-70 feet), and without a rudder, the left and right turns are slow to respond.

This thing is really amazing. It can go on the water and in the air. It is surprisingly fragile and a little difficult to manuever. My son really wanted this but doesn't get to play with it too often because it requires a really big open space and he needs someone to help him. Nine yr old boys need something more rugged and their Moms need something that they can enjoy on their own.

This wasn't clearly marketed as coming without a battery. So on Christmas Day I had to order a battery for it and the wait to use it made my son's desire to play with it kind of ebb.
