4 of 5 Good monitor for the money Friday, February 27, 2009 Jan from chicagoland IL
Have been using this monitor for 3 months -no dead pixels. Very good sharpness, color is good. Only problem is that at least once a week it loses its display settings - always when in standby - and has to be reset to proper screen resolution. This after making sure the latest driver is installed. At first disconcerting, but now a minor annoyance. Cost was about half of others this size. I plan to use it until it dies. I put it on a Neo-Flex stand - big improvement over OEM. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Bad Monitor Monday, February 23, 2009 Tony from Fairview, Or
For the first couple of months this was a good monitor with a good picture. The colors and sharpness were acceptable. Over time the shadows began and then the pictures started to pulsate. This has been a bad purchase. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Cheeper" great value! Thursday, January 08, 2009 Dave from Chicago, IL
This product is one of the best color flat screens we have purchased for the cheep price, almost as good as a Mac screen for 10X the price.
You won't go wrong with screen, one of the best values. Sure it's not a Mac quality screen, and the color gam values are not dead nuts on working in photoshop CS, but for the money, it's a deal. It would be nice if you could adjust the stand, too low for a taller person. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good monitor -- bad pixels Wednesday, December 31, 2008 Steven VanGorden from NY
Monitor worked fine and was easy to configure at full resolution. Quality of image and colors was fine. Two stuck pixels at top center of screen but not so bad as to make return worthwhile. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Don't buy this monitor Monday, December 29, 2008 A Customer from Nashua, NH
I bought this monitor from buy.com a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if buy.com sold me a refurbished monitor though they didn't say so. After three weeks, stuck pixels appeared on the screen. I called ViewSonic. They asked me to search for free software Pixel Fixer from Google. I tried but it didn't work. I called ViewSonic again and was told they will not replace or repair the monitor if there are less than 4 defective pixels. I don't know how many pixels are defective and I don't want to waste my time to find out for a low quality cheap monitor. I just won't buy from ViewSonic next time because they have basically no customer service other than free third party Pixel Fixer from Internet. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Wow! Sunday, December 28, 2008 Lori from Corpus Christi, TX
I ordered this as a replacement for a 19" monitor as a Christmas present to me. I wanted to pass on the old one to my mother. I really didn't think it would make much difference but WoW!
The monitor came very quickly, was easy to set up and looks great. I have found no negative aspects, it looks great, crisp and clear and the larger size is noticeable. Definitely a great buy. Go for it! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 This monitor rocks! Thursday, December 18, 2008 A Customer from houston, tx
Purchased for our accountant.... It is a great monitor! Very high value. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Cheap...and it shows. Wednesday, December 17, 2008 Josh from Cross Lanes, WV
If you want a cheap 22" for surfing the net and basic functions, then this monitor is perfect for you. However, color representation is way off...as well as brightness and contrast no matter how you change the settings. This makes for an extremely poor monitor for anything requiring display accuracy, such as digital photography. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great for a value monitor, keep looking if you wan Saturday, December 13, 2008 Ted from West Chester, PA
Very nice monitor at the $149 (after rebate) price. Bright, clear display is easy to look at, both for text and photo images. The one I bought has several dead (always lit green) pixels clustered at the top, but you get used to that (it's within Viewsonic's dead pixel policy). No HDMI interface, so be aware that you need to use traditional analog VGA cable/interface. Couldn't get perfect contract/brightness using monitor calibration images. Nonetheless, great value for a BIG 22" monitor if price is a concern. Would buy again. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great price, great monitor Friday, December 12, 2008 John from Galveston, TX
Bought this monitor for my mother who lost hers in Hurricane Ike. It's the hit around my nieces who all want to use mom's computer now. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great value Wednesday, December 10, 2008 Ray Palazzo from Louisville, Kentucky
I was pleasantly surprised by the sharpness and clarity of the monitor for the price. Shipment was quick and setup effortless. The only minor design issue that I have (examine product photo) is that none of the monitor controls are visible or even marked on the front of the monitor. They are located on the bottom in the middle. Once you get accustomed to where they are it is okay. Over all it is a great value for the money. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Computer Monitor Monday, December 08, 2008 A Customer from Madison, WI
This is a great monitor with a good picture. It also freed up a lot of space on my desk. I oredred 2 more for gifts. I did have 1 dead pixal on mine but it's ok. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Another Buy.com "money saver" Sunday, December 07, 2008 Judy M from Austin, Texas
Many of the newer monitors look sleek and slick, but often have a lot of glare, which is overwhelming after extended use. This monitor is very clear and is easy on the eyes. I liked it so much that I got one for my daughter and her family, which includes two teens (they are beyond excited, moving from a 17" screen up to a 22". Wow, what a difference it makes. For those needing DVI, this monitor does not have it; however, for the price and size, it's definitely a winner. Good price, no tax, free shipping - what's not to like. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 super monitor ...great price Sunday, December 07, 2008 A Customer from wooster, ohio
only downside i can see is lack of DVI. but i don't need it anyway. it is a very nice monitor Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Best Buy Ever Saturday, December 06, 2008 Russell Dickerson from Clinton Mo +4735
I haven't received my rebate as yet but as far as I can see I think this is one of the best buy's I ever got from Buy.com. I don't know anywhere a person can get such quailty hardware for a reasonable price. Yes I am really pleased. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Cheap Monitor Thursday, December 04, 2008 Matias dP. from North Carolina
No dead pixels (at least so far). When there is a lot of black in the screen you can see a sort of flashing effect from the back light but it doesn't really affect movies and things like that. It was cheap and so I was not expecting a superb overall quality, but I am satisfied with this product so far. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great monitor at a Great price! Thursday, November 20, 2008 Terry from Dalas, Texas
Ordered 4 of these on Monday, got them all today (Thursday). All were in great condition, no dead pixals, no problems. Plug and play right out of the box. This is a great deal on a really big and very good monitor. Strongly recommend to anyone looking for a large monitor at a little price! Not to mention that I chose the free shipping, and they all arrived very quickly!!
I am very happy with them. :o)) Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value Thursday, November 20, 2008 A Customer from Addison, TX
I received this product this morning (only 2 days after ordering it.) The color and contrast are great...easy to set up...love that it can be wall mounted as well. Great look...I do have one frozen pixel, but its barely noticeable, and for this price...well..look around and do your research - you won't find a LCD screen this size cheaper. 5 of 5 Great value LCD screen Tuesday, November 18, 2008 Ted from Lynchburg, VA
There is pretty much no other LCD screen at this size for this price. I purchased it about a month ago and have not had a single problem with it. The color and contrast of the screen are nice and the design is pleasing to the eye. I would definitely recommend this product. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Excellent product for the price Wednesday, July 09, 2008 Pat from Lake Hopatcong, NJ
Not a 5 star monitor, but for the price, it really can't be beat. Bright, sharp, okay colors. 5 stars for office use (that's what I got it for), 4 stars overall. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 High value/ not highest quality Thursday, June 12, 2008 A Customer from Los Angeles, CA
This monitor is an extremely good value because you get a very large display to work with. The issue I had was the number of dead pixels when I plugged it in right after I took it out of the box. I was able to repair all but two pixels by using a repair pgm. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great monitor for intended purpose Sunday, May 25, 2008 A Customer from Saint Charles, MO
Optiquest is Viewsonic's value line. I bought this monitor for use at work with my laptop because I didn't want to leave a "pricey" big screen monitor sitting at the office. I'm totally satisfied with this monitor. Great picture and a great price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Nice monitor for the money Saturday, May 10, 2008 A Customer from Aurora, IL
This item arrived very quickly and was easy to set up. No problems with dead pixels or anything. I have had this monitor for a couple months so far and am happy with it. Nice picture and easy to set up...not bad for the money. The only things I wish this had was built in speakers and HDMI. Although most built in speakers aren't great, they would have been a nice touch!!! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent buy! Monday, April 14, 2008 Stephen H. from Charlotte, NC
I am happy with this monitor. it's bright and crisp with beautiful colors. If you want a simple monitor. This one is excellent. I recommend it. However, this model has no DVI nor speakers. Combining the free shipping from Buy.com and fast delivery, you can't go wrong.

5 of 5 Great Buy Tuesday, April 08, 2008 Craig from Bessemer,AL
I was in the market for a monitor to be used for music editing.Having said that, the amount of viewable screen was a priority.I had considered every thing from a 19" on up.The price of this item, plus it's size,is what won me over in the end.Why go with a 19" when, for practically the same money, you can have a 22" widescreen? It fit my needs and would recommend it. 4 of 5 Great 22" for the money !! Monday, March 24, 2008 Jim-703 from Chicago, Il
If you can settle for 19" or 20", you may find just as good a value,
but at 22", I still haven't seen anything better at stores or online. My technique is to shop stores, then search online reviews of the best 4 or 5 items. This monitor was a risk, in that I did not find any existing profile! But running a $60 GeForce 6200 card,
with the monitor brightness @ 55% and contrast @ 75%, color at 6500k, I am very happy. I am heavy into DVD's, and online streaming TV, with no problems. If this had HDMI out, it would be 6 on a scale of 5. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Well worth the money Sunday, March 23, 2008 A Customer from Cookeville, TN
This monitor is worth the price in my opinion. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Dead pixels... Thursday, March 20, 2008 A Customer from Los Angeles CA
While this monitor was a great price and appeared to be a great value, we noticed within a week of hooking it up that there are a cluster of dead pixels. If you do purchase this monitor make sure that all of the pixels are functioning properly as soon as you hook it up. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Nice value, but expect dead/stuck pixels Thursday, March 20, 2008 ron g from Fort Myers, FL
I ordered two of these units recently. Both arrived very quickly, and in perfect condition. These are very nice monitors, with plenty of viewing area. The only drawback is that both units had dead and/or stuck pixels. They meet the 'allowable' criteria, so they are not returnable as defective. Having said that, and considering the price of the units, they are still a very good buy. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Optiquest 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor Monday, March 17, 2008 A Customer from Florida
Great size and a nice bright, sharp image. Came with one dead pixel thou. A little bothersome, but can live with it. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Nice size, image, a couple of drawbacks Sunday, March 16, 2008 A Customer from Olathe, KS
No mistake, this monitor is a good buy for the money, however, there is no DVI output, so you will have to buy a video card with a 15 pin D-Sub output. Also the control buttons are underneath the front lip of the monitor and a bit hard to get to, don't know why they couldn't put them in the front. I also had several dead pixels, however, I didn't want to risk losing the rebate, so I'll live with it for now. A nice image and good viewing angle, overall I'm pleased with it except for the pixel problem. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good bang for your buck Wednesday, March 12, 2008 Ted from Lynchburg, VA
I purchased this from Buy.com and the shipping was free and quick - better than most online vendors. The monitor is rediculously easy to set up and after a little fine tuning of the settings of my desktop I had the thing up and running in minutes. The contrast isn't stellar but it gets the job done. It sits next to my high contrast LCD TV and that thing blows it out of the water but it definitely will give you a good widescreen capability on your PC. I would recommend to anyone. 2 of 5 3 Dead pixels upon arrival Sunday, March 02, 2008 A Customer from San Gabriel, CA
The price is very good. But this is the 2nd monitors Buy.com sent me that have dead pixels. The first one was dead (beyond repairment) after 3 weeks, and got a refurbished one from the manufacturer. This one (1 week), well, cross my finger. If this one went down later on, I will stop buying from Buy.com. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value Sunday, March 02, 2008 A Customer from Meade, KS
For the money I expected to settle for a little lesser quality product, but I am amazed at how great this product is. I just plugged it in (WIN XP Pro) and I was up and going... I didn't have to read the book at all. I am using it in my docking station for my HP notebook. I like how the screen shape matches my 17" notebook screen. I've only had this product for about a month, but I am delighted with it. Was this review helpful?
