The Olympus digital recorder was a Valentine surprise for my wife. She was very excited upon opening her gift. She had been thinking about purchasing one for over a year for her business. She found it very easy to use and the quality of the recordings have met her expectations. She takes it every where she goes when ideas pop into her head she can record them in stead of trying to find pen and paper.

I have used several brands of mini-recorders, and the Olympus ones (this is my second) by far and away have the best recording quality. I use it at my job to record interviews as well as record meetings, and the sound quality for both is very good. Being able to store sound files is also a plus. I was happy the upgraded model had more storage space; my previous model (VN-480PC) would run out after a few hours on the high-quality mode. One tip: Try not to hold the recorder while using it. If you are not steady, noise gets on the recording. I highly recommend this player.

Very good recorder for its price, excellent abilitiy to pick High Quality recordings. Good battery life, I've used mine for weeks now and still on same alkaline batteries. The software that comes with it is easy to use, transfers to PC and import, export to .WAV is nice. Best one I've owned yet, this outperforms an older Olympus recorder that cost me over 120.00 For those who do EVP, this is a good recorder also.

Recordings are very clear in high quality mode, which is second to best and provides about 24 hours of recording time. I like the 4 storage folders available and controls were pretty simple to figure out how to do the basic thing - record and playback. Haven't tried transferring digital recordings to pc yet, but this is a great feature for saving and transferring. Highly recommended for this target price (49).

Many of these types of recorders are hard to figure out but these instructions are clear - need to read them first and it is easy and the recorder works very well.....

I purchased this voice recorder to be used by multiple people at our plant. Everyone found it to be user friendly. The built in mic records voices clearly, even over background noise. Playback is loud and clear. It gets a little tinny at max volume, but we have not needed to put the volume that high for normal use. I would reccomend this voice recorder for anyone who needs a quality voice recorder for a nominal fee.

Digital recorder purchased for dictation purposes. Works quite well. Fairly easy to set up and connect to PC for downloads.

I like the prompt delivery and good value. The Voice Recorder is conveniently small and has a good microphone. It is generally quite easy to use. The downside includes poor speaker quality and not stereo for headphones/ear pieces. Seems a little power hungry - replaced new batteries after just a few hours of use.

This digital voice recorder comes with a great program for your computer that allows you to listen to and edit your recordings. It's small, durable, and reliable. The batteries last a long time and the microphone picks up the most soft spoken person. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

It's very compact and convenient. I just put it in my jean pocket and carry it everywhere. One example, one day I was in Blockbuster but unsure which movie to rent. I read all the titles that looked nice on cover into this little thing, went home, checked the review, then made up a list of videos I want to rent. The battery last pretty long time too.

This recorder works good, I use it for school. There are two versions. Get the one that connects to the pc so you can save recordings on computer.

Given it's small size, I was pleasantly surprised at how well this unit works. The mic. is very sensitive and the sound playback is crystal clear. Navigation is intuitive with an ipod-like click wheel and the PC download capability is a must if you plan on doing a lot of recording & replay. Overall a great little recorder.

Just bought it. Haven't dealt with advanced features or software yet, but the recorder itself is great. I loved the handling, ease of use, clarity and capacity. Recorded some poems from my toddler and it came out perfect. Handy and very portable. Exactly what I was looking for. I definitely recommend it.
