Right off I have to say - THANK YOU OCZ! I've been trying to use thumbdrives to free myself from being chained into the Program Files and My Documents directory of a single computer for about a year now, and just couldn't because thumbdrives are just too slow to run apps. That problem is now resolved :D This thing's speed isn't "faster than a regular flash drive". This thing is faster than a regular HARD DRIVE for reading, meaning I can run applications on this and they work just about as fast as run off of my computer's hard drive. I use portable apps like Firefox 3 Portable so that all my website passwords and such are saved in the Firefox folder. This lets me just copy Firefox Portable over to a backup thumbdrive so my keys to my online life aren't locked inside a single computer. And for work I also run a portable web server which currently has 4 blog projects on it. All of these run flawlessly and quickly from the Throttle using the ESATA port :D I haven't tried the USB only connection, but from reviews I see that the Throttle also rates as one of the quickest USB drives too. So I'm now deciding whether to run my portable apps from the Throttle instead of my computer. I'd need an ESATA port for my old backup laptop, but if I go that way, I don't have to fear computer failure ever again as I can just move the Throttle over and keep on working at full speed. In conclusion- this is a cool drive. It's doing very well for me and was well worth the 30+ dollars.
