I learned the hard way that product specs for the same capacity but less expensive flash drives which don't show read/write speeds should be a red flag. Moving Gb's of data makes a big difference in the time you spend staring at your screen. Having said that, this OCZ Rally 2 was a good mid-range choice and a great value at the sale price. The write speed of "8-15Mb/sec" is better than most, but still only 3/4 as fast as my Cruzer Countour. The read speed is comparable though, so if you're not usually moving large volumes of data TO the flash drive and are willing to wait a little longer when you do, it's a great choice. I bought this about 6 months ago and have found it to be durable and fast. The only downfall is the removable cover that can easily be lost. Otherwise, the aluminum case and durability compared to plastic units has been excellent. Whether it's the dual channel memory or another engineering element, it's faster than many other small cheaper flash drives. Was this review helpful?

I needed an upgrade for my flash drive and I saw this flash drive for a great price and jumped on the opportunity. OCZ is one of the best names in the market, and I was not disappointed. Grate price for the capacity. It lets me watch my VOB or Mp4 movie files from a laptop that has no DVD Rom. No more Frisbee’s (DVD’s) for me. I don’t leave home without it.
The down side is the first one had needed to be sent back for a warranty replacement; however the return was very prompted from the manufacture. No other issues since my June 08 purchase.

Maybe its just me, but my flash voyager seems just as fast. I also like the rubber covering more as opposed to the aluminum on this. Im a fan of OCZ, I run their ram, but I cant see the benefit of the dual channel with this flash drive. In the end, I could have saved a bit and went with another flash voyager.
