5 of 5 The Solution I Was Looking For Monday, February 02, 2009 KennyB123 from Laredo, TX
I was looking for a pair of bluetooth speakers that were compact, yet packed a good sound. On top of that, they had to support the newest bluetooth stack, supporting a higher bitrate of sound.
I scoured the internet for something like this, and I found these Nokia's. At medium volumes, which will be PLENTY loud enough for most people, these speakers really sound good. If you jack up the volume, you will get distortion.
The battery life for 2 AA's in each speaker is rated at 4 hours, but I've had these for 2 weeks, and I'm still on the original 4 AA's that they come with! I imagine I've used it for 8-10 hours. I bought some eneloop rechargables for when they finally give in.
The previous reviewer complained about the case - yes, it's tight. But, it loosens up just enough, and if you PUT IT ON RIGHT, it doesn't accidentally turn on the speakers. Besides, the speakers will automatically turn off if there is no signal for 5 or 10 minutes.
Acquiring the bluetooth connection is painless, and with my AT&T Fuze, my music is VERY close to the sound you get when taking advatange of the 3.5MM jack.
These Nokia's also make for a great laptop speaker. You'll see.
So, these come highly recommended - unless you are looking for speakers that blast in a room, these are indeed room-fillers with good, crisp sound. Enjoy! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Big sound in a little package. Saturday, October 25, 2008 Niko from Chicago, IL
Amazing little product. A little expensive, but well worth the money. I use the same rechargeable AA batteries from my camera and it plays for days, works with my Nokia E71 and Erickson phones amazingly, just hit the power button on the speakers and it switches over from the phone to the speakers. It's not a surround sound system, but plenty loud for playing on AAs.
The only negative I see is that the included case is so tight, it's near impossible to take off. If you slide it on all the way you have to use pliers to take the speakers out, and sometimes the case pushes the power button because it's so tight, so you need another case for them.
