Album Notes and Credits

Notes & Personnel Info
The folks at the Burning Bush label have been doubling up their releases in these packs for a while now, with varying levels of success regarding the paired discs. No Weak Heart Shall Enter Zion is one of the better sets, with one disc, Dub Massive, offering a better than average introduction to the spacy instrumental reggae style and its major players -- namely King Tubby and Lee "Scratch" Perry. The other disc in the set, Dis One a Scorcher!, has a solid lineup of '70s and early-'80s tracks with Max Romeo, the Ethiopians, Horace Andy, and others. Neither of the discs offers very thorough liner notes or any indication -- other than the geographic focus of Jamaica -- as to why they were paired in this curious double-CD set. ~ Wade Kergan
