Jubel is a masterless ninja who travels the land alone, hiring his services to those with gold or a worthy cause. His fearsome abilities have served him well, but a hideous plot to overthrow the government threatens to end his wandering ways and possibly his life.
When a small village succumbs to a terrible plague, a team of ninjas are sent to investigate and realize that all is not as it seems. Ambushed, they are wiped out by a fearsome man-monster with incredible powers leaving only one alive- Kangera, a beautiful female ninja whose touch can bring instant death. Jubel saves her from a fate worse than death and unwittingly becomes drawn into a web of treachery. He is soon faced with the greatest challenge, an enemy for whom death holds no fear with the power to destroy Jubel's world. It's an all-out bloodbath when ninja warriors come face to face in this action-packed tribal war.

Plot Summary
The Koga Ninja Team is sent to investigate a mysterious epidemic in the village of Shimoda. It turns out that the Devils of Kimon have sabotaged the water supply to kill off all the villagers and have the freedom to search for stolen gold that was hidden in the town. At one time, the Shogun of the Dark had planned to use this treasure to return the House of Toyotomi to Power. Then, the evil Gemma took it from him in hopes of creating a group of ninjas who would rule by terror. But when the ship carrying the gold got caught in a storm, somehow the precious cargo got lost...| Who will find it first... the Koga Ninjas or Gemma?

it is an awesome story, with breath taking scenes. it is long enough to satisfy your "amime thirst", does not end in the middle of the story. the characters and events are combined with really cool animation. a "must have" classic.
