5 of 5 Jason ain't got nothing on Freddy!!! Sunday, November 02, 2003 Jeff Henson from Loveland, Ohio
Freddy is back!!! And this time he is better than ever. In this boxed set you get the full collection of the best horror movie created, a bonus "Nightmare Encyclapedia" disk, 2 3D glasses, and a 36 page color booklet telling about all of the movie. The extras alone are worth the cost to any Freddy fan. I say BUY BUY BUY!!! Was this review helpful?

Nightmare on Elm St. is the ultimate in horror. Freddy can kill and kill it good. His knife fingers slice and dice the teen dream. What else can gore fans ask for. Now that Nightmare on Elm Street is now in a box set is cool, it comes with out-of-the-mind extra's, I just want to meet Freddy for a duel.
I cant wait for Freddy Vs. Jason!

Even if you are just a half fan of Freddy, you must own this set!! The extra DVD is wicked. The Labyrinth is amazing in the morph effects of room to room traveling. The music videos of all of the Freddy songs, the interviews, and even the commentary on part one from Wes Craven, Heather Langenkamp and the other guy. (Name escapes me!) Plus, the first 3-D DVD ever made! The original ending sequence of Freddy's Dead in ful 3-D is very wicked. (Lights off...works better!)
Nonetheless, this set is more than worth the money. A must own for any Freddy or horror fan. Was this review helpful?

Well, what can I say? This has got to be the best box set out there. I'm a big fan of DVD box sets and I am totally psyched about this one. The whole idea of combining all the movies into one package was an excellent move. And adding the bonus DVD with the interactive game along with the 2 pairs of 3-D glasses is just paramount. I just wish more box sets would come out like this one. A definite must have for all you Nightmare fans! Was this review helpful?

I just recently purchased a DVD player and a very big reason i done so was due to i had to have this set on DVD! I had been procrastinating on purchasing a DVD player for months now but after hearing about this set i had to have one! The day i purchased my DVD player i went ahead and purchased this set the same day from the same store i bought the DVD player from. I paid alot more buying it in the store rather than from BUYCOMP.COM but i just couldn't wait. I had to have it that same day! When i got home i hooked up my DVD player and started watching the movies. Man, i couldn't believe the picture quality and the the new 5.1 surround sound! It was fantastic! And the interactive menus are awsome as all hell! The time and effort that was spent putting this set together really stands out. And the 8th Disc (Nightmare Encyclopedia) has so much information on the series/Actors Etc. you will be in awe for hours sifting through this disc! Beleive you me, if you a fan of Freddy or Horror, you have to have this set! Trust me on this one! It's money well spent. I only hope that one day this much effort goes into a Friday The 13th or Halloween boxed set if and when that ever gets released? Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 I AM BREATHLESS! Tuesday, October 05, 1999 Biao Xu from Indianapolis, Indiana
First I am really amazed by the quality of remastered digital picture and sound. My voodoo3 3000 video card and sound blaster live card make things even better. I even don't want to watch these DVDs all in one night not knowing what to to do next several Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Freddy is the man and this set proves it even more Thursday, September 30, 1999 Bill from Baltimore, MD
The first film I saw in the theaters was Nightmare on Elm Street 4, and it was so good I had to see the others. Freddy is much more clever than Michael Myers and Jason (Myer's ripoff). I do like the Halloween's and Friday's, but I was always hoping they would make a movie pitting Freddy vs. one of those guys so that Freddy could kick their a**! If you call yourself a Freddy fan then you absolutely must purchase this set. The extras, including the music videos are a must. I just wish they would have put Fresh Prince's 'Nightmare on My Street' video in it. It would have made it that much better. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 JUSTICE IS FINALLY SERVED Friday, September 24, 1999 MIKE from PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA
I've been a big fan of horror films since I was a kid, Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street in particular, and it always seemed that the studios forgot about these films when it came time to do something special for them. Well I must say, New Line's DVD set is absolutely incredible. The extras, the digital transfers, the 5.1 soundracks!!!! WOW. I just hope that we'll be lucky enough to see other great horror franchises treated with the same respect and appreciation that has been shown to the Nightmare series. A MUST HAVE!!! 5 of 5 The nightmare isnt' over Friday, August 27, 1999 James from Boston Ma
If your a fan of the main burned man then obviously you have to have this collection. I grew up with Freddy never getting tired of the sequels that followed the original. While others were watching Mr. Rogers when little I was watching Mr. Krueger... B Was this review helpful?
