5 of 5 Good but overpriced Wednesday, February 04, 2009
LGC from Ellicott City, MD
I took a chance on the 103-G (the "G" only signifies that there are two units in the box)to keep from having to run wires through walls and have them exposed to sight. The units were super simple to install and they worked right out of the box. My internet access and download speeds are every bit as fast as they were with a direct wire hookup. I am using Verizon FIOS. I considered the Model 102 but the higher rated speed of the Model 103 was a grabber--85 mbps vs 15 mbps. Considering what these units do, I believe they are grossly overpriced and it is difficult to find any degree of discounting, even on line. All-in-all a good unit that does what it says it does.

Tony from Baltimore, MD
These items work out of the box, don't get hot at all and provide 100 mbps speed in my case. Definetly recommend it!

5 of 5 Best E-Net Extenter Monday, January 21, 2008
A Customer from mission Viejo, CA
Received the unit. Plugged it in. Acts just like a wired connection. Fastest connection I've had to my PC about 100ft away from my router... Great Product

5 of 5 Forget Wireless! Saturday, July 07, 2007
Joe G from Egg Harbor City, NJ
Absolutely the easiest networking product I've ever used. Ethernet is great, but a it's a pain to run the wires. Wireless is not worth the hassle unless you plan on sitting in the next room to your wireless router. You're going to get random disconnects and poor throughput no matter what standard or manufacturer you use.The XE103G takes longer to take out of the box than it does to connect it. The speed is as fast as ethernet in the real world. And no worries about security unless you're into black helicopters and conspiracy theories. It makes me sick to think of the money I wasted on junk Linksys wireless products. You won't be disappointed with this product.

5 of 5 Good Alternative to 802.11b/g Wednesday, March 28, 2007
A Customer from Honolulu, HI
This is the upgraded version of Netgear's previous powerline offering. That model was advertised as 14Mbps but I never saw one run at that speed. This one is touted as 85Mbps and I was able to get a solid 45Mbps even with both units plugged into expansion strips (which Netgear warns against). Good choice for folks living in condos or apartments with too many neighbors already having interfering wireless networks. Included software is for diagnostics/security settings and only runs on Windows 2k/XP but the unit actually works with any computer OS that supports ethernet connections (Mac, Linux, older Windows versions).

5 of 5 Cure for WEAK WIRELESS Wednesday, September 27, 2006
Raymond from Newport Beach, CA
I bought this because one room in the house is really far away from the wireless router and the connection is not reliable. This device seems expensive up front but if it saves you from a long wire run, it will be money well spent. I put a hub on one end to support the three PCs in the 'game' room. FYI - This is a plug and go device with no setup required.
