5 of 5 Works Great Wednesday, January 02, 2008 Mikhael from Johnson Creek, WI
Plain and simple, does exactly what I needed at a price that was spot on for the level of performance. No issues with disconnecting. Reliable. Worth your money. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Unbearable Tech Support Thursday, November 29, 2007 Little Chico from Chico, CA
I have struggled with this wireless connection for almost a year. The dropped connection was a daily occurrence. When I could not connect at all, I contacted Tech Support. After 10 days I gave up and bought a Linksys router. Within 10 minutes I was up and running with no dropped connection.
If you have a lot of spare time to waste -- the Netgear will use it up quickly. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Thumbs Up for Netgear! Thursday, July 05, 2007 Thad from Kettering, Ohio
It was VERY easy to setup my Netgear wireless router. Everything worked properly on the first try. The IS guy at work suggested Netgear and I am glad that I made this purchase instead of a Linksys product.

5 of 5 Great product and MUCH better than WirelessB! Sunday, May 27, 2007 Len from Miami, FL
Love Netgear products, this is my second and have bought and installed for brother, mom/dad and girlfriend. This router is a great buy for the money and installation is a SNAP (that's come a long way)! I upgraded from an older Wireless B product and wondered if it would be worth it... Let me tell you. IT DEFINTELY IS... With Wireless G (108Mbps) it's as if you are cable-connected. Very impressive and always up! Great Router. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 So far, so good Friday, April 06, 2007 John Norton from Germantown, MD
I bought a wireless router years ago when they first came out and had little success with getting it set up (very complicated). So I sold that wireless router and kept everything plugged in. Got a new laptop recently and decided to go wireless again.
After reading the reviews here that said installation and setup were a breeze, I went with it.
I wouldn't say it was a breeze - you definitely have to pay attention and make a few IT-like decisions. But it worked after the first run through and I didn't need any customer support!
You will need to have a plugged-in internet connection in order to set it up (since an account gets set up at Netgear).
The "key" is extremely long and generated by Netgear. Thus you'll probably want to print it out and save it somewhere.
After I ordered the new wireless router, I realized my plugged-in router has phone connections in it (I use Vonage for phone and fax), and this new wireless router doesn't have phone connections.
After I got it set up, I plugged my old router with the phone lines into the new router and my phone and fax lines worked instantly!
I'm hoping that, like my previous router, it's a "set it up and forget it's there" kinda thing. So far, so good. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Flawless Monday, January 29, 2007 stoneblue@earthlink.net from Orlando, FL
Actually, this is the first wireless router I have ever purchased, so I don't have anything to compare it to. All I know is that I have hardly noticed its presence in my home, as it has been dependable and trouble free. It's so little, like a paperback novel, that it stores well on the shelf. A real plus is the secret code I had to enter into the wireless settings, to allow wireless access only by my computer(s), and not everyone else in the neighborhood with a wireless receiver/card thingy.
