NETGEAR WG602 54 MBPS Wireless Access Point, Refurbished - WG602NAR

I bought this wireless access point (NETGEAR WG602v.4 )to extend the reach of my wireless network. My wireless network was already serviced by the same device (NETGEAR WG602v.3 ) and after unsuccessfully trying to use a much more expensive external Wireless-G Range Expander WRE54G Repeater from Linksys, I hoped to have more luck with this device. NETGEAR WG602 performed as expected. During the setup, I wanted some clarification about configuration options so I contacted Netgear support. At the time (May 2009) Netgear only offered a phone and e-mail support. When I reached the technical support person by phone, I got nowhere. The person strictly followed their script and asked me questions completely unrelated to my problem. The e-mail support worked better but due to the nature of e-mail, it took several days to get the answer I was seeking. Once my question was resolved, it was easy to add this device to my existing network and extend the range of the wireless network. The procedure is so easy and the price for this device so low that I decided to order one more NETGEAR WG602 to extend the network reach even further in our building. The signal range inside our building from any NETGEAR WG602 is less than 50m. I have noticed that the serial number on the device was blacked out. I have to wonder why this was done!!! There was no configuration CD included and I had to get all the supporting documentation online.
