4 of 5 Watch out - issues with Windows 98 & older PC's Sunday, July 01, 2007 btr63 from Stewartstown, PA
For various reasons I have a mix of Windows XP, Windows 98, and Windows 2000 PCs at home and I was hoping to upgrade my network to 1 gigabit. However, when I went to install this adapter, I discovered it wouldnt work with my Windows 98 machine (causes it to hang at boot-up) and I also discovered, it doesnt do 1 gigabit when you have an older machine that has an older PCI slot.
Otherwise, if you have a newer machine with PCI v2.2 slots and youre running XP, youll be fine and it works great.

5 of 5 Works Great with Ubuntu 7.04 Linux Wednesday, June 06, 2007 Aaron Swanson from Niwot/Boulder Colorado
I needed a card that would work well with Gigabit Ethernet and Ubuntu Linux (I use 7.04 currently) I simply plugged the card in and booted it and it worked perfectly. I would recommend it. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Friday, February 09, 2007 Jeffrey Loke from Thiensville, WI
The product performs as expected. Although not quite what I expected from Gigabit Etherent. The only real drawback is the installation of drivers from the Manufacture's website doesn't give you a choice as wether or not to use the performance monitor minimal effort. Was this review helpful?
