Neat Receipts Scanalizer Sheetfed Travel Scanner And Software - Retail Boxed

I bought this to get my desk at home alittle organized. I am a strict user of Quicken and this scanner is great for allowing me to attach pertinent receipts/invoices to my transactions within Quicken. It also recognizes store names and categorizes to a small degree but I don't really use it for that as I've got way too many categories/sub-categories within Quicken. Great product though!

NEAT Receipts will save you a ton of time and help you get organized with your receipts. These days many retailers do not require original receipts so you can simply throw them away once you have scanned them. Expense reports have never been easier. My only gripe is that many people get errors when loading the software on Vista and XP. I am a very technical person and finding a solution to this problem was very difficult. Customer service was not helpful at all and I was eventually able to find the answer in the online forum. Great product if you can get it to work.

I used to have receipts everywhere around the house and in the car. Now after having this scanner for a couple of weeks, all the roaming receipts are gone! The installation is really easy and straightforward and the product works almost flawlessly (if the edge that goes first is too wavy, you will need to flat it out). The auto recognition in the software makes scanning interesting. I only wish that the software interface were easier to personalize and that it were more "click-and-drag" when organizing receipts among folders. But, overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

I haven't used it yet, seems like it's going to be fine. Just wanted to post a msg to potential buyers that this is a refurb unit since it's not clearly stated in the description that I could see.

if you looking for quick and easy way to scan receipts and business cards with the ability scan and 8 x 11 piece of paper you can't go wrong with this scanner.

This product has made my life so much easier. As a road warrior expense reports have always been a necessary evil! I hate the paperwork aspect of it. Even though I still have to submit expenses on a company form. This product has made providing the receipts and keeping them organized so much easier. The features are so easy to use that I now scan business cards and throw them away. I even scan personal receipts and those un-reimbursed business expense receipts and can keep them organized. This thing is like a TV remote and a cell phone....don't know how you lived without it once you've used it. NOTE: This item didn't have any software in it and it said "retail boxed" when in fact it was refurbished. I got such a good deal that I wasn't about to return it. But buy.com's response was I either had to send it back to them or contact the company. Fortunately the website for Neat allowed a download of the software. I was kinda disappointed in buy.com response so I gave overall a 4 instead of 5. That said BUY THIS!

I was looking for a second scanner to supplement my flat bed scanner -- something I could use to do quick, single item scans. After reading about several sheet scanners, I heard about the special price on this one and bought it based on other reviews. PROS: - Although a refurbished unit, it looked brand new. In fact, I believe it was, as they now show a white version on the website. This might be a 'new' old stock item that they call refurbished. - Very compact, quiet, easy to use (no external power supply-USB driven!) - Works with WORD, EXCEL, other programs that can import graphics from a scanner - Can scan to PDF file creation - Good tech support for two questions I had (short wait time, fast email response) CONS: - Came with version 3 software (newest is "4") and it takes up 700 MB of space on the hard drive creating a database (took 15 minutes). NOTE: I did upgrade to version 4 BUT I prefer version 3 as it has more features that suit my needs - Sometimes it does not feed the paper in perfectly straight or 'catches' the paper for feeding; not sure if it is me or the unit.

This scanner is amazing! Not only does it save all your receipts, documents, and business cards as scanned files, you can sort and search for any of the above using data, words or numbers on the scanned item. The software is not perfect, but overall I'm very happy with my purchase. Recommend it to all.

I got this on sale so it was a great value. I love not having to save small pieces of paper and being able to categorize my expenses. The software is pretty intuitive and the scanner works great. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Neatreceipts is a great product combination of hardware and software! I am a rather disorganized person when it comes to entering all my receipt information into Quicken. Even keeping track of my receipts for tax purposes is easy since it allows you to categorize the receipt immediately after scanning. I took a pile of my little receipts and had them all scanned in a matter of minutes while categorizing them all at the time. Great time saver!!

This is by far the greatest scanner I have used. It works well for the normal scan of photos and documents. The software which comes with the scanner works awesome for getting your office paperless. An added plus is the seamless functionality with Quicken. I have recommended this product to many business owners and regular people and all have been completely satisfied.

I have wanted one of these for 2 years!! I finally got on i June! It is fantastic! Very easy to use and it will save you alot of time and paperwork! You can also dispose of all those aggravating litte pieces of paper. I'm still trying to get used to it, but I LOVE IT! I can't tell you how much $$ I have lost because I could not find a receipt AND I am an organized person! I am thrilled and believe you will be also!

Had some problems with the backup settings not working, other than that, this is a great product. No problems with the install, scanning is fast and efficient. I would like to see better support for deposit slips; I think it is mostly intended for spending receipts. Great product.
