There some nice new additions to the 2008 game. The main difference is the color scheme has changed, Player Promises, you can add pictures of actual game play to Your Shrine, and there are Medical Redshirts - if a player gets hurt early in the year and cannot play, you can redshirt him so he doesn't loose a year of eligibility.
There are no controls on players promises that I can tell. It's basically for your information. You can check it, but you can't make promises to entice a players to come to your school. There were no adjustments to recruiting on PS2 like PS3 and Xbox 360. And of course, the same ole tired commentary your've been hearing from Corso and Herb since 2000. That's about it. Enjoy!
