The navigon fresh maps worked fine and I had no problems with the install. The product is advertised as a "3 year freshmaps activation card". While downloading I noticed that it was labeled as a 2 year. I called buy.com and received a rebate because of the error. I thought the 3 year for that price was too good to be true. I should've jumped on the freshmaps when it was a 3-year service! Now it's only 2 years but it's a great deal for the price I paid. I did notice a lot more restaurants in my area once the map was updated. Maps are updated every QTR so that's pretty good considering you're getting 3-4 updates in a year. Was this review helpful?

This is a great GPS, and with the map updates, it's even better. Easy to install Freshmaps and update. It can take a while to down load the updates, but it's worth it. It did come in handy here. Everyweek there was a new development opening, and streets added left and right. It's been only wrong once, but that was due to construction closing the street! Was this review helpful?

i got to use this card once to get summer 2008 maps. it was worth upgrading to newer maps, i noticed more accurate POI. i cant tell if there is better performance or road construction update. i still think that navigon needs to add at least major road construction to their maps. and POI are still limited, i cant find post office, office depot or office max and many many other places. The first map update issued under this program came out right about the same time I received the activation card. File download was enormous, but installation was a snap.

Browsed the US Navigon website looking for Loox 100 map updates. None found, but did find the FreshMaps description page indicating that FreshMaps works on all Navigon devices.
Came here to Buy.com and ordered and received FreshMaps. Went back to Navigon site and Loox 100 is not among the listed devices it works with. Emailed customer support, their reply: "It's a Fujitsu-Siemens device, we don't support it here in the US, visit the UK site for help". I bought this device from Buy.com and it was listed as Navigon Loox 100. But apparently Navigon has disinherited it's Loox 100 children here in the US. Fujitsu-Siemens is no help, they just made the hardware, Navigon made the nav software but they won't provide updates. Sure makes me glad I bought two of these! (not).

You can purchase this map update package. But be aware that Navigon has not started the FreshMap service yet. It isn't supposed to kick off until July 2008 according to their website. In addition the updates are quarterly. Was this review helpful?

This is an useless upgrade because Navigon is providing a free upgrade on their maps in May 2008 and you can't use this card until then. The navigon web site will not accept the code on the card and there is no point of starting to use the card until later this year - at least December 2008 Was this review helpful?
