A Powerful Remedy for Your Boredom Problem. Features: DVD It's Mystery Science Theater 3000, America's only show that makes fun of really bad B movies from the comfort of a spaceship floating above Earth. Joel Hodgson, along with his mechanical companions, wisecracking Crow an well-read chick magnet Tom Servo, make suffering through Hollywood's worst films a breeze. Adding their own dialogue, barrage of witty remarks, and an occasional colorful skit, the next hour and a half will fly by like it were only 90 minutes. There's no ushers with flashlights, crying babies, or women with big hair to spoil the fun.How do you make fun of a bloody car wreak? That's the question facing Joel and his "hot buddies" as they watch Manos: Hands of Fate. It's a laborious piece of flotsam starring Torgo, a demented caretaker who, as Joel puts it, "looks like a chainsaw sculpture." To make sure we know Torgo's evil, the filmmakers gave him a horrible knee disfigurement -- ooh, scary -- that looks, as Crow remarks, "like he's been hittin' the Thighmaster too much." The only saving grace, and probable reason this bore was produced, is the scene of a group of nubile nymphs wrestling around in their nighties (ruff, ruff). Even Frank and Doctor Forrester feel guilty about this one. "...a nearly perfect amalgamation of premise, presentation, and performance..." Bill Gibron, DVD Verdict "...entertaining and, at times, riotous...[a] unique and funny program..." DVDizzy.com "There is so much going on in these shows...they are wonderful to watch over and over. Every time I watch them I hear a joke or see something new that I hadn't seen before." John Sinnott, DVD Talk "...for fans of the series and those just starting in on the scripted mockery experience." Nate Yapp, Classic-Horror.com "...reaches peak levels of lunacy, and every element of moviemaking starts to seem inherently ludicrous." Noel Murray, The Onion A.V. Club
 Editor's Note
Joel and the 'Bots tackle the turkey of turkeys, 1966's MANOS, THE HANDS OF FATE, which finds a vacationing family trapped in a house with a demonic harem and a moronic, misshapen houseboy, "Torgo." Regarded as the arguable high watermark of the comedy series among even the most contentious MSTies. Don't miss the haunting "Torgo's Theme Song".
