Daily's wry and sultry version of "Life Is Just a Bowl of Cherries" has a knowing undercurrent that preserves all the charm but half the innocence of the original; Jimmy Scott's sublime reading of Talking Heads' "Heaven" is an under-heard gem; Greg Laswell's take on "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" revises the bubbly '80s classic as an earnest piano ballad. Most valuable here is a previously unreleased Jeff Buckley recording of Elton John's "We All Fall in Love Sometimes."
