In My Favorite Martian, eager television reporter Tim O'Hara (Jeff Daniels) has the story of the century fall into his lap when he stumbles upon a real-life Martian (Christopher Lloyd), whose spaceship has crash-landed on Earth. Seizing upon the chance to expose the Martian and win the admiration of his bosses' daughter, Brace (Elizabeth Hurley), Tim tries to gather solid evidence of the alien arrival. When the Martian becomes "Uncle Martin" and moves in with Tim, the two become hilariously mismatched pals. Juggling Uncle Martin's wacky Martian habits, the uproarious talking spacesuit, "Zoot," a snooping mad scientist and his true love, Lizzie (Daryl Hannah), Tim must find a way to send our favorite Martian back home.

The 1960s television series is updated for the 1990s in this computer-effects heavy family effort. Television reporter Tim O' Hara (Daniels) thinks he has the story of the century when he stumbles across a real-life Martian (Lloyd). While trying to gain evidence of the landing, however, the alien moves into to Tim's house, posing as his "Uncle Martin." Tim, Martin, and Martin's talking space suit "Zoot" then find themselves trying to avoid the discovery of their secret by an evil scientist. Look for original TV martian Ray Walston in a small role!
