I think I can say with confidence that there is not, nor will there ever be a show like The Muppet Show. Even though nostalgia plays an important role in my review, I cannot help but to recognize the talent of performers such as Frank Oz, Richard Hunt and of course Jim Henson whose genius hand can be seen on everything The Muppets did. Literally. The DVD product itself is good. The art on the box is not exactly creative although it conveys the content of the box accurately. The case is sturdy and will protect the discs albeit not being practical since in order to get to the disc at the bottom you have to remove the one on the top first. Artifacts! Lots of them. I'm not sure if the root of the problem lies within a poor compression transfer or the source used to compile the discs is degraded or low quality. In any case, this is a great product and worth having while a high definition series is released, if ever.
