The U120 has selected a 10” wide LCD display as oppose to the typical smaller sizes to provide better comfort while viewing or reading. In addition, the 1024x 600 resolution can relief concerns of the full display of WebPages while browsing, giving you the freedom when exploring the internet.

The U120 is embedded with the LED power-saving backlight technology in providing better color fullness and brightness, elevating the total quality of imagery. Furthermore, the lower usage of power can offer a longer operating time.

The frame is approximately 10.24 in length and 7.09 in width. It is only 1.3 in thickness making it extremely thin. The total weight added with the battery is under 2.3lbs, making the U120 Series very ideal for taking it on the go.

5 of 5 Best Netbook on Market Tuesday, June 02, 2009
Zac from Mesa, AZ

I have purchased several of these for my business now. They are very lightweight, easy to use and extremely affordable! No other netbooks are close to this price or perform nearly this well. Plus you cant beat the quality of MSI. After all, most of the other big name notebooks are using their boards and components anyways...Why not buy direct???

5 of 5 MSI Wind Monday, May 11, 2009
A Customer from Chamaign, IL
So far I have absolutely loved my MSI Wind. The screen is crystal clear, the battery life is great(I haven't seen the 5.5 hrs of battery life like one review said, but I have seen 5). The key placement, I think, is very convenient. MSI didn't try to cram too many keys on to the keyboard. The function key that is used in conjunction with F6, F7, etc.. has been very useful. Those control volume, brightness, etc... So far the only thing I don't really like is the touchpad. Not that it isn't very sensitive but where it is located. I tend to rest my thumbs on it while typing and I find myself typing elsewhere on the page. Probably because my hands are kind of big. The Wireless controller on this thing is amazing! I haven't been anywhere where I can't get signal. I was on the train the other day and while on there I was getting a signal from a house router: the nearest house was close to a football field away. Anyway I don't have too much to complain about it. I decided to get this because I liked the design, harddisk space, screen size and price. Wish I had gotten it when it was on sale for 300 but I can't complain.

5 of 5 Nice netbook Sunday, May 10, 2009
John from Audubon, NJ
Just what I was looking for. Built in wifi, good size screen and keyboard. I installed Ubuntu Linux 9.04 on the D: drive after creating a recovery iso image using the utility that was provided. So now it dual boots Windows and Ubuntu both work very well. I dumped the MS Office trial and added Open Officeand for AV I use Avast Antivirus on the Windows partition. Overall a very good netbook at a very good price.

5 of 5 Great Value for the Money Thursday, April 30, 2009
Samm from Rockville MD
This note-net book is great! Needed a replacement for the 15.4 inch boat anchor. this easy to handle, light weight, go anywhere is so much quicker machine and does all I need for school home and on the go! easy to use- packed with so much. XP so much better than the Vista that last used. operates much longer before needing charge required. Great value for the dollar! Will buy again when the kids need one for school!

5 of 5 Great product at a low cost Thursday, April 23, 2009
A Customer from Kansas City, MO
This net book is excellent for mobile applications, but works well at home too. The screen is a decent size, got Wi-Fi, USB and card readers. The typical applications run flawlessly. At home, I have it attached to my HDTV through the VGA port (works at 1280x768 wide screen and fills up the whole screen). Couple that with a wireless keyboard and mouse and you can relax on the couch browsing the internet on your big-screen TV.

5 of 5 great value! Sunday, April 19, 2009
FAF from Salt Lake City, UT
Pros: 10" screen is much better than comparable models with 9" screens. Keyboard size is very comfortable. 6 cell battery provides 4+ hours between charges. Cons: Black moulding around screen is a finger print magnet. So far it has performed well and no problems were encountered. This is a great netbook and at a very affordable price - I highly recommend it.

4 of 5 A Value Deal Saturday, April 18, 2009
A Customer from Baltimore, Maryland
MSI offers a great deal with this netbook. It is loaded with features. If you really want to disconnect with your desktop and go mobile around the house, this is the way to go. Some of the software that comes with the net book is trial software so be prepared to buy full versions of MS office type software and some type of anti virus software. I would recommend this net book to anyone.

5 of 5 Best Notebook Out There!!!! Friday, April 10, 2009
Ethan N. from New York
Pros: Great Keyboard Nice Webcam Stylish Appearance Very Light and Portable Great Screen Resolution 1 GB RAM 160 GB Hard Drive 6- Cell Battery Cons: Haven't tested mic yet Click button is a little strange, but you get used to it almost instantly I was a little skeptical at first to buy this netbook, but I'm so glad I did. It has everything I need and more! I would HIGHLY reccommend this netbook to everyone!

5 of 5 MSI Wind Perfect For Travel Tuesday, April 07, 2009
Garry from Atlanta, GA
The MSI Wind Netbook is exactly what I was looking for. Small, light, and easy to carry in a briefcase while travelling. Screen is nice size, and the battery lasts about 6 hours on a flight. The one thing I found less than desired was the mouse pad sensitivity. You cannot have big fingers and easily direct the mouse with this pad. I suggest getting a wireless notebook mouse to solve this issue.

5 of 5 RAM upgrade? Tuesday, April 07, 2009
A Customer from Florence, SC
I know very little about the Wind. I do know that it's a nice little machine. The main reason I'm writing this is to correct the review below. The guy claimed that you can't upgrade the RAM. He is incorrect. There are several videos posted online that show you how. You do have to remove the entire bottom of the machine, but it CAN be done.

5 of 5 It's a keeper Wednesday, April 01, 2009
Dave from Iowa City, IA
This is a terrific little laptop for a nice price. If you're short on cash but need a laptop now, you'll be good with this one. Had I had more money, I'd have bought a core duo of some sort, but my old laptop had passed on suddenly and I needed to get a replacement. The Atom processor and graphics chipset keep up with resource intensive uses like online video (although it does stutter occasionally and HD makes it choke a bit). The 600 line vertical resolution means that with some web pages which have outsize headers at the top you have to scroll "below the fold" to see the content. Given that my old lappie was seven years old, I am very happy with this one. It's also nice and light. My wireless network occasionally has problems assigning an IP address to this netbook, but I'm not sure if that's a problem with my router or the laptop (I've read complaints about the wireless card, though). The piano black screen bezel is a fingerprint magnet and features a rather large cheesy MSi logo in "chrome," which I think was a poor design choice. If you're into looks, this netbook won't be a priority for you. But if you want something to surf the web with and get some word processing done on the plane, then you can't really go wrong.

5 of 5 Great! Saturday, February 28, 2009
Adrian from Chapel Hill, NC
My wife loves her new laptop, and carries it everywhere. It's light but powerful enough for her needs. The face login feature is a fun gimmick.

4 of 5 Can't upgrade to 2GB Wednesday, February 25, 2009
Kenji_Lee from Garden Grove , CA
Can't upgrade to 2GB. The Ram Maximum 2GB is fake. The Memory is directly from Board, and no slot availible. The if you open the laptop to try upgrade memory, Warranty will .... I don't want to say it. So, Good Price, run Windows Fast. Easy to recovery, good for student. Battery 5 hours. Love it. But i bought 1GB ram Kingston for it, and now can't upgrade. If you buy this laptop, don't buy 1 GB RAM More.

5 of 5 Love it! Wednesday, February 04, 2009
Jay from Seattle, WA
Received my new U120 a week ago. Both ordering and shipping were fast and easy. I love this little guy! Boots quickly, no problem at all connecting to my home network...did it all on it's own. All I had to do was enter the security key and I was all hooked up! Windows XP came preloaded so all I had to do was plug it in and go through the set up. Only took a few minutes and I was up and running, installed Microsoft One Care and it didn't slow things up a bit . The unit is smaller than I thought it would be. The 6 cell battery doesn't project out much like on some netbooks I've seen. Very slim, very stylish. Screen is great and very clear. I was kind of worried about the screen size with these 50+ year old eyes but so far no problems at all. Keyboard is sturdy and easy to use. I didn't feel the need for bluetooth for my use so I went with this model. There has been talk that this model is doesn't allow for a memory upgrade. Not sure I would ever need one for my use. I can surf the web, write a work doc and listen to music all without a hitch. Quite impressive for something this small. It even came with a very nice sleeve. I wasn't expecting it to be a nice, velcro flapped sturdy, felt lined deal with a pocket...that was a nice surprise! I have yet to try it on a WiFi network but I doubt if it will be a problem. I'm very happy with the purchase. Btw...the black and white is quite an attractive look.
