I'm be no means very knowledgable when it comes to setting up wireless networks, but setting up this little device was easy! The web interface for the SBG900 is pretty easy to figure out and use. I really had no trouble setting up my first wireless network.
It should be noted that beyond just supporting WEP for wireless security, the SBG900 also supports WPA (which is MUCH more secure). From my research, it appears that earlier versions of this device didn't support WPA, which is way some of the documentation doesn't mention it. Rest assured WPA is definitely included (I'm using it). Was this review helpful?

This is the ultimate cable modem, wireless router and modem in one! It is lightning fast, easy to install. I have had a slight issue getting the security set up, but no biggy. I haven't had any time to fool with it. Overall, I highly recommend. Was this review helpful?

I've had other good Motorolla surfboard models, but with the SBG900, I was able to configure it the way I needed it to be. Which was great for me, because I needed a modem where I could change the MTU to work with my XBOX 360. This is also a great product if your looking to clear desk space, because you don't need a router to connect other devices wirelessly. Was this review helpful?
