    5 of 5 A Well designed Headset Thursday, October 29, 2009
    Howie from Fort Lauderdale, FL

I actually bought this product to use with my computers. I read a review stating that this headset works only with phones; NOT TRUE. I am able to use it on my 2 laptops and desktop. Pairing is sometimes a little bit tricky, and the bluetooth software may need to be upgraded to support the stereo mode. It is nice to be able to control pause, play, tracks and volume on the headseat.

5 of 5 DO NOT BUY FROM ZENITH MOBILE! Thursday, July 09, 2009
    Jake from Provo, UT
This is an awesome product, BUT Zenith mobile is a bad seller so buy from someone other than them! They didn't even send the original package (although they listed they would). It looked like a re-furb (although listed as new). It arrived defective and they refused to pay for return shipping and refused to refund the expensive initial shipping to me. MORAL of the story: Buy from BUY.COM...not a reseller! Product seems a bit fuzzy at times and the Track skip forward/back & voice dialing features don't work with my iPhone 3G. Volume control, pause, last call dialed work though. Covers your ears to seal out unwanted noise. Love it for the office to drown out annoying people!

    mark from oregon
now since 3.0 it seems that all works like it should with the exception of the track fwd and back as stated already. no fault of the headphones that the fwd and back portion doesnt work and other than that these are nearly perfect for my uses of the headphones....

4 of 5 exactly as advertised, and then some Wednesday, June 24, 2009

I was very surprised at the sound quality from these headphones. they easily paired with my 3GS and most controls worked except skip forward and back, which appears to be an apple bug. this is a great value for above average headphones!

5 of 5 Great Headphones, paired with phone and computer! Sunday, June 07, 2009
    Austin from santa barbara, california
THE GOOD: I figured out how to pair these headphones with my phone and my Vista PC. This seems to be the biggest problem with people. THE BAD: Vista's Bluetooth drivers really suck, and Motorola doesn't include any drivers. Translation: I had to buy drivers from a 3rd party (BlueSoleil). MORE INFO: There is a slight fuzz in the headphone during silence. The Bluetooth works great within a very acceptable range. The microphone is good if you speak clearly. The headset is a little tight, but I think they will break in. The controls are great, and so is the case, the cables, and the build quality. EVEN MORE INFO: I wrote a blog post on how to connect the S805s to Windows Vista if you're having any troubles with that: http://austincurtis.blogspot.com/2009/06/connecting-motorola-s805-bluetooth.html

    4 of 5 Macintosh Bug? Monday, May 11, 2009
    Larry from Richmond, TX.
I bought these to watch Quicktime movies on my Mac from a few feet away. When I activate Full Screen on the Mac or use the Skip button on the right headphone (s805), the movie jumps to fast-forward seemingly unforgivingly. The only thing that fixes it is to toggle the Mac (Quicktime) item, Stop All Movies then Play All Movies; Pause/Play doesn't do it. I must do this each time I watch a Quicktime movie in Full Screen.¶ DVDs work great, switching to the next chapter with a forward twist of the right-ear control, iTunes as well. The sound is great, great bass. I've experienced interference with my Bluetooth Mac MightyMouse requiring me to remove a battery from the mouse then replace it to get the mouse out of it's sudden slow and erratic motion.

4 of 5 Exactly what I was looking for Saturday, May 09, 2009
    A Customer from concord, ca
I do a lot of gaming, and hate to have extra cables in the way. This headset is great. I would say that the only thing that I would wish for in the next version is for the ear pieces not to be so tight. It makes your ears hurt a bit during break in. My fix was to get a small box that was much larger than my head, and leave my headsets around that every night for a week or so. After that, the headsets were a bit more comfortable.

5 of 5 Great sound except for highs Sunday, April 19, 2009
Ryan Saucerman from South Pasadena, CA
The headphones work flawlessly on multiple levels. I do demand a lot of my equipment. Everything works excellent with the unit. I especially like the ability to skip tracks forward and backwards while my phone stays locked in my pocket. The only problem I have is with the highs. using the bluetooth at times makes the highs seem kind of tinny. please not that I have yet to find a bluetooth headset that does not have this problem, if it bothers you, use the cord it came with.

5 of 5 The best headphones I've ever used. Friday, April 10, 2009
    Frogurt from Columbia, SC
The Motorola S805 Bluetooth DJ headphones are simply the best headphones I've ever seen and heard. Everything from the sound quality to the build quality is top-notch. They might be a little large, but they're far more comfortable, stylish, and adjustable than behind-the-head headphones such as Motorola's own HT820. While wireless usage is the obvious reason to get them, and they excel at that, they also work great as wired headphones, too. The controls are nice and simple - only one button and one back/forward toggle on each side. There is a 2.5mm port on the right earcup for connecting the headphones to other devices (phone/mp3 player/computer/etc.) and a 2.5mm to 3.5mm cord included. Right next to the 2.5mm socket is a mini-USB port (the same connector used on most Motorola phones, as well as some other models) for charging. Both are covered by a flexible rubber cover. An A/C charging adapter is included, but the headphones can also be charged while plugged into a computer with a USB cable (USB cable not included). The included carrying case is nice, and is shaped somewhat like a very large guitar pick, and has an external pocket to hold a phone or mp3 player or other items. I've paired them with various LG and Motorola phones with no problems. Just make sure your phone supports the A2DP (stereo Bluetooth) profile, or they won't work with it. I believe this why iPhone users are having trouble with stereo Bluetooth headphones. If you read Wikipedia's page (or other various reliable information sources), iPhones are not yet equipped with the A2DP profile. The third firmware version for the iPhone will have the A2DP profile. It is supposed to be released this summer.

    3 of 5 iPhone update Saturday, March 28, 2009
    mark from oregon
After talking with several iPhone reps, it sounds like the next build (3 to be released summer of '09) will allow you to use the ipod section of your iphone with these headphones, until then the headphones will only work with the phone portion of the unit... until it actually works - still a 3 from here... mark

5 of 5 Works great! But BIG! Wednesday, March 25, 2009
    A Customer from Shrewsbury, VT
Much bigger than I'd realized. I would have liked to see them on a person's head to get a better idea of their size. That said, this bluetooth stereo headset works extremely well - both for music and for phone. People hear me clearly and don't complain :) Its bluetooth range is better than my other two stereo headsets (Cardo S-2 and Jabra BT8010 - both of which also work very well). The Motorola S805 functions perfects but they really are quite big - they are like proper old fashioned stereo headphones - as in living room stereo system headphones. They are great for the house and working outside but I don't use them for walking and hiking with my dogs - or in the car. They are just too big and dorky and block out too much noise for safety. Nutshell: They work beautifully and allow me to travel quite far from the source - but I'd say they are a 'leave at home' headset - not for activities or the car.

5 of 5 Good value on a nice BT headset Tuesday, March 24, 2009
    Scotty from Jax, FL
I've used this headset for a couple weeks now, and it meets all my expectations. It's comfortable and light. The sound is clear and crisp. Battery life is tremendous. The price makes it a good value. I only have two caveats in my recommendation of the headset. Bass reproduction is accurate, but not over the top. I mostly listen to classical and jazz, so it's not an issue for me, but it could be for other tastes. Also, the earcups hold heat. If you sweat a lot, be forewarned.

4 of 5 Good headset for the price Monday, March 23, 2009
    A Customer from CO
Looked all over for a headset with 1) Long battery life 2) Good sound 3) Price. This headset hit it all! I think I used it for about a week and a half everyday using ventrillo and it died then, which is quite a long time. Its very comfortable, though it tends to push tight against my head so after wearing it a little while I have to take breaks. Easy to synch to my computer. Only disappointment to me is the bluetooth technology. When I want to use it as a headset with my computer, it goes to a mono sound, so the audio isn't great. But if I only need it as a headset, the headset plays in the stereo profile and sounds much better. The microphone is very clear. I have had plenty of people tell me they can hear me just fine through vent. And the other bonus is its bluetooth so I can walk around with it. Overall i'm satisfied with the headset. I just hope bluetooth technology gets some better advancements.

4 of 5 Nice for the price Monday, March 09, 2009
    A Customer from Serving Overseas
Well i bought them in hopes of getting away from being wired to my cellphone to talk but thats really not the case with these headsets... for wearing to the gym and working out, they are perfect, i am def happy with the build... so the little bug comes in with trying to use wifi for skype and bluetooth for the headsets on my phone... they stutter a lot and get annoying when i try to use them for that purpose... everything else is good, buttons work well, they arent too loud and not too low.... for $40, i think they are a good option...

    3 of 5 not with iphone 3g Saturday, March 07, 2009
    mark from Oregon
I have had these headphones for over a year now and have no issues pairing them with three different cel phones and worked perfectly. Just purchased an iphone last week, 3g second gen and though the headphones work for calls, they will not work for music. Does anyone have these paired and working properly with the iphone? Other than the iphone issue, these are great headphones - awesome sound quality when hardwired to phone however I really want/need the bluetooth working right. Until this works right I have to rate as a 3. mark

4 of 5 Great for multimedia Mac and PC Wednesday, March 04, 2009
    Jeff from Lincoln Ne
I bought these to listen to music or watch videos on a computer, not to use with my phone. Although it works great with a phone, I would never walk around all day waiting for a call wearing them. They paired right out of the box with my mac. The controls work for pause, play and adjust the volume in iTunes like a champ. It will automatically pause If you do have it paired with your phone so if you recieve a call you can push the left side phone button and talk on the phone. Hang up and continue listening to your computer. I am using a AZIO micro Bluetooth adapter on my PC. Although the default XP driver work to install and connect to the headphones, I had to install the Toshiba drivers it came with in order to get the controls to work in Windows media player. One note for Mac users, select Headphones not Headset when you connect in order for the headphone play, pause controls to work. Lastly love the USB charger, you can also use any charger for a Motorola phone that uses the mini USB connector, or connect it to your computer to charge. Only drawback here is you can’t charge and listen at the same time, but I guess that makes using the Bluetooth a moot point. It also comes with a really nice carrying case. OK one more thing. The round earcups could be a little bigger. After a hour or so I need a break because of the pressure. They are already a full sized headset so why not make them a little more comfortable?

    3 of 5 A bit dissapointing Friday, February 27, 2009
A Customer from Salt Lake City, Ut
Pros: Cheaper than other bluetooth headphones, no hiss, no interference. Cons: Connectivity, sound quality. I bought these headphones hoping for DJ (or at least near DJ) sound quality. I am replacing my old 900 mhz wireless headphones that get so much static and interference that it becomes unbearable. First of all, these headphones have no hiss or interference from other electrical equipment. I bought them for my office where there is all kinds of equipment. That's a big plus. Second, it takes a little bit of fiddling around to get these to connect to the laptop for the first time. Then it is easy to reconnect them later. But, in order to turn them on or off, you have to press the button for 2-3 seconds until it flashes two times. However, your finger is covering the button so you don't see if it flashed or not. Same happens when you go to turn it off. Third, any heavier bass gets so distorted that it really drowns the rest of the music. Yeah, you can fiddle with equilizer but why would I? I am not an audiophile but I can hear stuff like that. I want bass and plenty of it. Fourth, these headphones don't connect too well with iPhone. Yes, you can receive calls but you can't play any music from your iPhone/iPod to the headphones. And remember - these are NOT noise cancelling headphones. I hope this helps.

3 of 5 Fair sound, with caveats Wednesday, February 25, 2009
Mike Huspeni from St Paul, MN
My usage: Monitor bluetooth audio on a HomeTheater PC (watching TV) Connection: Was initially tough. For bluetooth pairing, needed to keep the 5-page quick-start guide in my lap at all times. At one point, Bluetooth on my computer wanted a numeric PIN, which is *NEVER* mentioned in boxed manuals for the S805. WTF!!?? Apparently, by hunting online, I discover the default PIN for most MOTO is 0000. Idiots. For performance, I found the audio delivery fair, with volume maxing out a bit too low. The volume control is really poorly designed and very imprecise; you will never adjust it perfectly to what you want. The 'battery' is of the type *unknown*, with an AC wall charger required to start usage, and also in between sessions. I found personally about 4 hours; with notes that I am hard of hearing and I play it very loud (where possible). A fair product, but I still prefer the Sennheiser Wireless kits.

5 of 5 very, very pleased with these! Wednesday, February 25, 2009
    soundguy/musician from boston
the motorola s805 have very much won me over. sound quality is pretty darn good, no unnatural EQ (i usually use sony mdr-7506, a studio industry standard). as noted, charge lasts forever, i'm seeing 15+hrs on a regular basis. syncing w/my phone is a 2-second, 1 button operation -- couldnt be any easier/efficient. honestly, i was expecting a mediocre set of kinda noisy phones, that were slightly uncomfortable, and i could not have been any more incorrect in my expectations. motorola got it very right with these.

    5 of 5 Great product! Tuesday, February 17, 2009
    ChristyG. from Georgia
I bought these headphones to use with my laptop because the earbuds hurt my ears. I never imagined what great sound quality they would have! I also love the freedom of wireless. They cancel out noise well, are comfortable, and the controls are convenient. The only thing that is *slightly* annoying is the clicking or static noise when nothing is being played and I browse around on my laptop. But that might be common with every set of headphones - I'm not sure. I would definately recommend, especially for the price!

5 of 5 Great Sound, Great Price Thursday, February 05, 2009
    Ian from Chandler, Arizona
The headphones worked perfectly from the second that arived. The charge last HOURS. I have not charged them in 2 weeks. The sound quality is amazing. I thought bluetooth sound wouldn't be that great, but these are good quality. Pairing was easy, just like any normal bluetooth setup. They have pretty good bass, and can get as loud as headphones should. They are pretty big, but come with a very nice case to carry them in. I really like that they have volume up/down and next/previous song "wheels" and a pause/stop/play button. I was very surprised that this actually had a mic built into one ear too. These headphones are a great buy. I have been offered $50 for them from friends, and have turned it down, even though I would be making money on that.

    5 of 5 Very decent Wednesday, February 04, 2009
    A Customer from PA
I was expecting a bit more low end response given their size, but overall I'm pleased. I wanted them to sound like my Sony MDR-V700DJ's. The rest of the sound spectrum is crisp and defined. At this price, its tough to find bluetooth headphones that function as well as these do. I had absolutely zero issues syncing them to my Blackberry Bold and 2 laptops, 1 using a built-in adapter and the other using a generic USB dongle. They are a little big, but they are comfortable and light. The controls are different, but work very well. I now have a renewed faith in Moto.

3 of 5 Good for the price Monday, January 26, 2009
    A Customer from San Diego
For this price, one should not expect to get great sounding headphones, even non-blutooth, and that's the case with these: sound okay, moderate difficulty syncing up, ease-of-use is similar to my Cardo bluetooth set. If this is all you can afford to spend, it's a decent set to get. Battery seems to last about five hours.

5 of 5 The product is great, but slight notch Wednesday, January 21, 2009
uttam patel from jersey city , nj
when, i saw this Dj headphone on buy.com i knew this is it what i was looking for. I had ordered in 3 to 5 business days, i had ordered in night on Friday, they shipped me on Tuesday not on Monday, and i got product in my hand on friday night.yeah ! shipping was slow. Now about the product, its great to have one wireless headphone. The quality of sound is too good on connected with phone i have sony ericsson 530i and works great with it. it also connects with my hp pc on bluetooth and quality is great too, but it takes 16 bit of sound quality which is not written anywhere on this site as well as in package. 16 bit for computer is little low, for people who have no idea about that. One biggest flaw in this headset which really pissed me off is a very low hissing sound which appears constant even when not listening. That hissing sound really irritates me all the time. But still I would give it 5 stars because once songs start you don't give a damn to hissing. Now the distance is quiet less than i expected. it works withing a room or two if they are near and that is it. The batter is awesome it is indeed great, i have around 16 hrs of working battery. the controls of headphone is also an great advantage. You know i like this headset, despite of some flaws, but overall pleasure of this headset is definitely more appreciable. If you want to buy, go for it. it is good.

5 of 5 Better than expected Sunday, January 18, 2009

These were purchased as a birthday gift. He loves them and says he didn't expect them to have as much bass and the case is not the sturdiest thing but stronger than he expected as well. Setup was easy, no connectivity problems so far, easy to use too. He also says they are nice and snug on his ears.

    3 of 5 I hoped for more Saturday, January 03, 2009
A Customer from Paso Robles, California
I purchased two, one for my wife and one for myself. I liked the design and weight of the headphones. Controls were easy to use and setting up with the bluetooth device was easy. After using with three different devices I'm sending back. They cut out or loose connection with the device too easy even when within a foot of each other. Seems to be a problem with the headphones and not the player. If we didn't have the connectivity problem, we would be keeping them.

    5 of 5 Good product Friday, January 02, 2009
    A Customer from Sheboygan, Wisconsin
I would say this is a pretty good product. The only issue with the headphones is that after I end a phone call, my music does not return on its own. I have to turn off my MP3 player and then it reconnects with the headphones. Then I just hit play on the headphones and I get music again. That is the best way I have discovered, so far, to get my music back after a phone call. Otherwise the sound quality is great and the headphones are extremely comfortable and easy to use. I have been told that my voice is loud and clear when using my headphones to talk on the phone too. Overall, very pleased!

    5 of 5 Superb quality - Bargain price Wednesday, December 31, 2008
    Brubaker from Fairfax, VA
I've had these headphones for two weeks and I've been extremely pleased with their quality and performance. They are comfortable and lightweight, and the audio quality is about as good as it gets, wired or wireless. Battery life is impressive: After an initial charge I have yet to need to recharge despite heavy use. Given their remarkably low price, you just can't go wrong.

4 of 5 Good bluetooth headphones for the money Monday, December 08, 2008
    AznJunkie from St. Petersburg, FL
I own these headphones for about 3 weeks now and I really like them. They are very comfortable and lightweight. They weren’t as large as I thought it would be. I wouldn’t recommend running with them on. The sound quality is pretty good for Bluetooth. Don’t expect wired headphones performance. You can improve the sound quality by using the included cord. The audio spectrum is fairly good since I no longer use my EQ, although I do feel it’s heavier on the treble side. I sometimes have a difficult time syncing the headphones to my MacBook Pro, but it syncs fine with my Samsung Epix phone. All the controls on the headphones work perfectly. I like the placement as I find them easy to use. Battery life is unbelievable. I charged the headphones the first day I got them and I have yet to charge them. And I use it almost everyday for about an hour or two. It's well worth the price I paid.

    5 of 5 This is a great product! Saturday, November 29, 2008

I just bought these about two weeks ago and I am very happy! I have a VX6800 Smart Phone. The headset was very easy to link up and pair with my phone. The sound quality from the headset is amazing. While the device isn't noise cancelling, it does reduce the noise from wind due to its very comfortable ear cushions. And you can hear everything! I think I found new sounds in my music that I never heard with my old headphones. I used it for an entire day and it did not hurt my ears or lose power. This really is a great device if you want to have a wireless headphone. What I like about it the most however is that when I have a phone conversation I can hear the person in STEREO sound. It's not the same same as having the person right in front of you. However, it's pretty darn close, especially coming from a cell. It even has a nifty feature to directly connect to standard 3.5mm headphone devices, in case the headset battery dies or your music device doesn't have bluetooth. Only quirks one may have about it is that it is a little big. These aren't sport headphones that hide behind your ears. In exchange for its power, it makes its presence known. Also, many states have laws against wearing headphones and driving (Sorry, this doesn't get by the handsfree device exception. I checked.), so the stereo conversations have to stay on foot. Lastly, any bass lovers out there will certainly feel a kick with these headphones, but since Bluetooth technology is not a fan of thump, heavy bass may may the music crack slightly when listened to at medium-high volume levels. I just turned down the volume a bit and it disappeared. If you use the hardwire, however, CRANK IT TO YOUR HEART'S CONTENT!!! In summary, for the price, this is a great investment that will definitely give you your money's worth.

4 of 5 good but not the best Tuesday, November 25, 2008
    Muj from Beaverton, OR
great product, long lasting battery, good quality music, but horrible with high bass, if you have any bass it will have a very annoying sound like drible of some sort, but that is only if you have the sound higher than 80%, anything lower with high quality music it is perfect, also good with calls perfect sound.

    5 of 5 Quality Tuesday, August 19, 2008
    Mark from Minneapolis, MN
This headset is a performer in any category I can come up with. The sound quality for music is as good as bluetooth can be (and you can use the optional cord for when you need to do a little on the fly mixdown). They are comfortable to wear; good styling well thought out design. The controls are very good took me a little while to get used to them but once I had it they were awsome. They are quite good at blocking ambient noise (I use them biking around downtown minneapolis and I can only hear the music, I have also made calls while biking down the middle of a four lane street in the city I could hear them and they could hear me enough said) I'm a musician I do a lot of playing, recording, mixing music so I'm pretty picky about sound and theese are comperable to other dj style headphones under $100. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 for performance is because audio protocals for stereo bluetooth are not up to cd quality yet, but unless you want to wait a year or two for bluetooth to be upgraded again you really can't do better than the S805 Long story short I've been really happy with them and I recomend them.

    5 of 5 Amazing Thursday, February 15, 2007
A Customer from New York, NY
These are well thought-out and well-executed. I was worried when I purchased them, because I couldn't find audio specs, but sound is great, with a perfectly adequate response range. The AVRCP integration is very intuitive, and setup is never a problem. They do cut out sometimes due to interference, but performing at 90% in NYC is likely the best you'll get. I'd recommend these in a heartbeat.
