Motorola MOTOPURE H12 Bluetooth Headset - New in Poly-Bag - H12BLK - Includes Charging Stand and Charging Case

Bought my first one in January. By July the sound quality was terrible (low volume, distortion, static). Motorola replaced it at no charge. Now 4 months later the new one is doing the same thing. While I was waiting for the replacement I bought a H695. Have used them alternately ever since. The H695 still sounds great but the H12 is going back to Motorola.

This is such a great bluetooth. LOVE the desk charger, and also having the extra USB cable makes it so easy to charge at work. This came with comfortable ear buds with different sizes so it fits both my small ear and my husband's big ear. Can't ask for better, what a great steal I got it for!! Too bad I have to get a new one now due to my 2 year old emersing it in water!!!

I received the item, plugged it in. I got it to work two days. When it worked it was great - clear perfect volume. It paired to my Blackberry Pearl in a second - real easy. When I finally had time (one month after purchase) to try to either get a refund or replacement I called Motorola directly. I don't think they listened to me half the time I was talking, but, I was determined to get an entire replacement. Which I did and it works great! BTW: Motorola will take your CC info prior to sending you a replacement. The replacement value is $140.00. You will need to send the original to them w/in 30 days to avoid the charge. Also, the ear strap is really delicate. If you are the type of person that just throws things into your purse or car this is not the blue tooth for you. Now if the piece fits your ear w/o the ear strap then YES you will like this. You are supposed to get three ear "noogies" (the rubber that goes into your ear) and two ear straps. I rated this product a 5 b/c it is when it works. Yes, I was bummed that I had to go through what I did. But, maybe you won't get a lemon the first go around. Great price - great quality!

This unit works about as well as most products of this type. As with other units I have tried, a lot of surrounding noise is picked up, and I get occasional complaints from recipient of my call that I am breaking up or other problems. I have a problem adjusting the unit so it doesn't move around out of place. Otherwise, it is a nice unit. I would recommend this unit along with any other similar brand of high quality.

Bluetooth work great with all my phones. Arrived and shipped fast. One the best bluetooths I have had even better than my jawbone. Crisp and clear conversations. Never had a problem yet.

I've owned over half dozen different brand Bluetooth devices including the 850 Motorola.(Paid over $100) This unit (H-12)is in a whole new league. Most people tell me they have no idea I'm using it. I really like the charging stand and travel box. Both are magnetic, so you just put the earpiece close to the stand and it sucks it right into the stand and make a perfect connection every time! I called a friend just after getting it, he asked me to order him one TODAY! Because he had never heard a better signal from a bluetooth. Noise cancellation works well. However, It only cuts the noise when you are talking. One test I did with a friend was to stop talking while running a power saw, then start talking. He said it cut it down about 70%. It cuts down wind noise too, but if the wind is strong and hitting the unit directly it's better, but not great. (but I don't think any unit would) People that I talk to tell me it does NOT eliminate ALL background noise, but is MUCH MUCH better than my other bluetooth devices. Also, much lighter than all other units I've tried. My advice: BUY IT

I love it. ::PROS:: Great sound quality, Pairs very easily, Very sublte form factor, not bulky on your ear, Nice looking device and accessories, Works MUCH better than reviewed on CNET. Comes with a case and a cradle ::CONS:: Comes with a charging case and a cradle but only one charger. Could use a USB charging cable so you could take advantage of both cradle and charging case. I can't charge both at home AND office unless I ferry around the charger. This is the only reason it does not get a 5 for ease of use. Overall a very nice product and a very nice price. Best Bluetooth device I've owned so far, I've had 5 others in the past.

I bought two of H12 last month, first I am disappointed about the battery can only be recharged 400 times. But it won't bother me anymore, I charged it first time, and now 3 weeks later, still get the battery power. This headset look nice and very easy to setup, the sound quality is excellent, so far, none of my calling parties complaint about 'can't hear me'. It's an excellent product.

I am highly satisfied with the Motorola H12. Connection was a breeze. It holds a signal with my phone very well and has a greater walk around range than it says. I tested just to see and with the phone in one corner of the house, I walked as far as I could get away from it in the house, about 80 ft. I was still having a good conversation with my wife at that distance!! I'm impressed. I could also hear very well while driving at interstate speeds. It's great. What more can I say.

My first BT headset got "destroyed" in my bag... This unit has a great protective case that also serves as a charger... The quality is OK, and worth the price...

I Love this bluetooth. Works perfectly, and accurately. It doesn't give any problems. It doesn't take long before it recharges... and it lasts a long while after it's charged. Its also fashionable, and stays well in your ear. Price is very reasonable in comparison to other prices... Shipping and delivering was fine. no damage whatsoever.

I was pleasantly surprised with the headset. The polybag packaging was odd, but expected. Noise cancelling is OK I am told. The charging case is cool, but I really like the charging stand. I like the dedicated on/off switch. I was disappointed the charger wasn't a mini USB (it means another charger to carry when you travel). With two charging bases, I wish it had two chargers, but for $30 bucks I guess you can't get everything. It's small and fits comfortably. I was able to play a round of golf without it bothering me. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good deal on a headseat.

Bought this for my wife to replace some other old Motorola bluetooth after upgrading her to iPhone. The first one we received was defective, but Buy.com as always handled it well and had a replacement to us in a couple weeks (a little slow but there was no real hurry). She loves this one that we received. When I'm talking to her I can hear a fair amount of background noise but overall it's by far better than any other that we've had. I checked the price on this unit locally at Christmas time and it was $99, so the price is awesome. A worthwhile investment for sure.

Very good unit but the ear piece around the ear is not confortable for me, I lost an ear cushion that worked perfectly and need another but am not sure where to find one

i'm far from versed in electronics, but was able to figure out how to use this, along with a bluetooth adapter, to listen to my computer wirelessly while hubbie is watching whatever on the tv. the size is great, the sound is good and it is so nice to be wireless! oh, and i saw the same item locally the other day for over twice the price. love it!!

Good design and a nice set of features for a BT headset under $30. Easy to use and separate buttons for power/answer/volume up/volume down, even new BT headset users are comfortable using it the first time. Good clarity in earpiece and mic reception is great with or without background noise. Does get difficult to be heard in extremely loud conditions. Bought 2 of them, 1 worked flawlessly but the other was flawed and is being returned. Buy.com RMA process was painless and very efficient, printable return shipping label and original packaging allowed item to be returned the same day it was delivered. Have recommended to many others and will continue.

Excellent quality and convenience of use. It comes with a stand charger and a portable storage egg which also acts like a charger. It has great sound and light weight. I would recommend it to anyone.

For under 30 bucks, ya can't beat it. It has good (not great) wind resistance noise cancellation. Auto-pair works great. Holds 2 active profiles for those of you that have 2 phones you use. And batt life is decent. Biggest issue is earpiece volume. The volume is very low. I find it difficult to hear who I'm talking to when there's outside noise around me, however they can hear me fine. Don't drive with the windows rolled down, you won't hear who you're talking to at all. Ironically, they may hear you just fine though.

Great features in a lite device. You hardly know you have it on. But the fit for my ear is quite bad. I can't hear people talking while driving in my car even if the volume is all the way up unless I press on the ear piece to push it farther into my ear. If its supposed to be a hands-free device, that doesn't help much. Poor fit.

We were excited to get these. From every expectation they were solid products from Motorola. They look nice, charge easy, pair easy and are easy on the ear. But I can't understand my wife through hers and she can hardly understand me (no this is not a marriage issue it is trouble with the bluetooth). If she talks directly into the phone (taking the bluetooth out of the loop on her end) I hear her fine. So the problem is the unit picking up what you are saying. I commute and talk to her on my way home. I have to use a bluetooth. But this thing picks up so much road noise that it is almost worthless. Guess I'll go back to my cheap Motorola bluetooth that came with the phone. It works much better. I do not recommend these. The price is cheap, but if it doesn't work, the money is wasted.

The H12 is light, has good reception quality, easy matching with phone, and I like the carrying case which doubles as a recharger ( this is in addition to the regular charger). I have found the voice dialing to be quite challenging, however, to the point of frustrating.

This is a great bluetooth ear piece. Small light you almost forget you have it on. Works great outdoors in windy weather. I have not found any cons so far. The price at Buy.com was the lowest and with free shipping it is a great buy.

I bought this primarily because of the price. I noticed that it had special circuitry for noise cancellation. So, I thought I would give it a try. I have had other Moto BT headsets and I didn't like the fit of them. This one has a snug fit in my ear and enhances the listening properties of the headset. Paired up with my iPhone just fine and sounds great. Volume can be a little overpowering at times, but adjusting the volume down fixes that.

I am, overall, very impressed with this unit. It works flawlessly and the sound is the best I have I have heard from any of the bluetooths I have owned. I love the switch on the unit that turns it on and automatically pairs to my phone, and then off, which disconnects it from my phone. The only thing I am questioning is with the switch itself. It is "chrome-coated" and after only a few weeks of use, the chrome has started to peel off. If the switch was just a black piece of plastic, I'd be just as happy but it just annoyed me with the peeling.

I had a Jabra headset, but the interference was terrible - I couldn't even let a coat or shirt hang over my phone while I was using the headset because it caused too much static, and it was heavy and bulky besides. This little Motorola is so light and comfortable I often forget I'm wearing it, yet the sound quality is absolutely amazing. On my LG Dare, callers literally can't tell when I'm using the headset and when I'm just using the phone. I've even used it outside in a stiff breeze, and the wind noise is minimal. The reception is great too. I can sit my phone down in a centrally-located part of our home and carry on a conversation with this headset while moving around nearly the entire house, even with walls between. It gets a bit of static if I get too far away, but for something that's only supposed to transmit reliably for 30 feet with no obstructions, 25 feet with light static isn't bad when two walls are between me and the phone. Others have complained about the lightweight ear clip. It seems a bit brittle at first glance, but it's sturdier than it looks. I can usually get the headset on in just a couple of seconds, with no stress on the ear clip that I can tell. It is very light and thin, so it's comfortable and doesn't hurt my ear like others have done. Pairing is the simplest I've ever done; absolutely nothing to it. The only "complaint" I have is that it doesn't seem to stay paired indefinitely. For instance, if I leave it paired overnight, it will still show as paired in the morning, but I have to re-pair before I can use it. This takes all of ten seconds at the most, and it's not a problem anyway if I remember to turn off the headset before I go to bed. And to be fair, this could be a problem with my phone instead of the headset. As far as battery life is concerned, I'm used to electronics not having nearly the standby time they advertise, yet I can hardly get this thing to use up its charge. I've had it a little over a week and it's been on and paired most of that time, and it's still on its first charge. Total talk time on it so far is probably only around 30 minutes, but with such good standby time (with no degradation of performance that I've noticed yet), I expect the talk time to be pretty good too if I ever need to use it for a long conversation. The magnetic charger is cool and handy; just sit it down and let it charge, with no tiny plugs or wires to hassle with. Overall, I am more satisfied with this little headset than I have been with any electronic purchase over the past year at least. I never knew hands-free conversations could be so easy and high-quality!

I'm really enjoying my bluetooth headset. The sound is very clear. The only complaint I have is the part that fits over your ear is a thin plastic - I'm always afraid I might break it. It also gets stuck in my hair.

Very comfortable,lightweight and easy to use. Interfaces effortlessly with voice dialing on my Crackberry. Still trying to figure out volume levels (hate those symbols; can't they just say loud or soft?!?!?)on the fly. Overall, a great unit at a great price.

Ease of use is a challenge but for the money, the quality of sound is nice! It looks good and it comes with a couple of ways to charge it. Learning how to use it requires reading the owners manual. Although if u want to just "USE IT", connecting it to your phone and answering calls is ez!

This is my first Bluetooth headset, and I have to say I'm impressed. Nobody complains about the sound when I'm talking. The unit is tiny and worked with my Blackberry with no troubles. The only thing I'm disappointed in is the fact that it only came with one charger. The discription said that there were two stands... there were not. Also, the instructions were in Spanish, which is a good thing I speak Spanish.

Best Bluetooth headset I have ever had. I WAS a plantroics fan, but I feel they have lost their way. This is a great headset and a Wonderful Value. Very few of the folks I speak to think I am on a headset. Noise cancellation is GREAT. Like all headsets, this one has some challenges in the wind, but what the heck.

I ordered the motorola bluetooth and my shipping time was 7-10 days under ordinary shipping and I didnt recieve the product till 10th date and then I mailed buy.com abt the product , Dont know hw and what they did , I got the mail that new product is being mailed to you , thats the definition of customer satisfaction.

No problem with set-up and activation with my iPhone 3G. Good battery life. Came in a weird poly bag--like maybe it was factory refurbished or something. It sure seems brand new. Good sound from earpiece and nobody has yet complained that they cannot hear me well. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. I suppose there are other good models out there, but this one does the job well for me. Great value.

The packaging was a bit odd but this is an amazing value. For only about $30 this piece looks great and works well. The acessories are plentiful and add value. The connection is mini usb which is not the same as my other motorola phones.

I had almost given up on Motorola BT Headsets, the last few I have had were pretty much duds. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I have to admit it was the price that was the main draw to this headset. It works perfectly, sounds great both ways, very light on the ear and the talk time is pretty good 4-5 hrs. If Motorola made all their headsets with this quality I would buy more. Very happy with this purchase. Other headsets that I use and like as a comparison. Plantronics 510, 520, 925 and Jabra bt-3030. Old dead ones that used to preform great. Logitech Freedom, moto 820

I didn't know what to expect; ya'know it's Ebay we're talking here. Anyway... saw this bluetooth that seemed awesome what with the style and the fact I have a Motorola phone. All I did was buy... get quick shipping right to my flat... paired-up the bluetooth which took seconds... and Voila! Many people don't even know its in my ear and several have asked me if I was "talking to myself" since it's so streamline. Not one person has complained that I sounded like I was "in a tunnel" nor has the connection not worked. I have actually been able to walk over 5 yards away from my phone and had Great clarity and the headset stayed connected. I will be a regular Buy.con shopper in the future. I bought this because i didnt get reception in my dorm unless it is by the windows....so i use H12 to get clear and perfect reception anywhere in the room. I would recommend to all. =)

This an excellent headset. It's very clear and I do not have to have the volume turned all the way up! It came with a really nice charger and carrying case also. I highly recommend this to anyone who doesn't enjoy holding the phone up to your ear!

The head set and the charging station are good electronics and I love the style and ruggedness. However, the charging interface (bus) requires a unique adapter which makes it incompatible with my current car adapter. Makes it hard to take it on a long ride until I can locate an adapter.
