5 of 5 Works for me Monday, August 13, 2007 Mark from Overland Park, KS
Wish I would have purchased some more handsets before they discontinued it. It works well enough in my house. Works nicely with headset. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Great phone if Caller ID is not important Wednesday, May 30, 2007 A Customer from Scottsdale, AZ
This phone is a great new offering in the marginalized two-line world. The base handset is small, takes up very little desk space and is easy to use. It allows the user to select night silence on a per line basis and adjust the time of night cutoff and morning turn on per line, down to a specific minute. The answering device has separate messages for each line and separate messages for after hours.

The remote handset receives data from the base unit so a shared phonebook can be used and numbers only have to be entered once. Entering a number from the wireless handset adds it to the shared phonebook of the base unit. The remote handset can be used to retrieve messages from the base unit. This is a very helpful feature.

The display is easy to read and the orange backlight creates good viewing contrast. Being able to tilt the display would be a big help.

The only real issue is that the Caller ID only picks off about one call in ten. The rest of the time it just displays "incoming call", even when other phones easily pick up the Caller ID data and display it. There are no settings or adjustments for the Caller ID functions, so funcitoning only ten percent of the time, it might as well not be there. If your Caller ID data is important (and if you are paying for the service, one has to assume that it is), this is probably not the phone for you.

Stilll, this phone is a good value if you really just need a good two-line answering machine and/or a good 5.8gHz cordless phone. I admit, the iffy Caller ID bugs me but I really bought it as an answering machine. The price for this combo unit is designed to ease the consumer into buying more remote handsets which sell at nearly the price of this whole system. With the Caller ID bug, I'm not interested in further investment but for its intended purpose, it's not too bad. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Nice Wednesday, February 28, 2007 Phil from Ulysses, KY
Great phone - great price. It has Custom rings for each line, and you can change it for people that are in your address book -- also has a public address (phone directory) which is shared between the base and the ext phone, and a private that is unique to each handset. Only problem is that to get the custom ring, the people have to be in the private address book.

This flexible combo works out extremely well for the Small Office\Home Office user who requires two lines, has the need for cordless mobility along with a desktop speakerphone for the requisite headset. On that note this mate’s up seamlessly with the GN Netcom GN4100 amplifier\headset system... undoubtedly a must have for those ubiquitous marathon web meetings and teleconferences.
For those who are concerned with RFI issues, it does this all in the 5.8 GHz spectrum to boot! I have not experienced a single instance of interference with either my wireless-G network or the other 5.8 GHz Panasonic phone system in the house!
The "bang for the buck" quotient is very high with this model... I couldn't find anything with comparable feature sets within a hundred dollars (USD). It has an impressive array of features for such a low price point... e.g. caller ID on both lines as well as for call waiting, single button conference mode to tie in both lines, ample room on the phone book, both a private and shared phonebook on the cordless, crystal clear speakerphone on both units, dual integrated answering machines, memo and message forwarding, etc... As for the quality, don't expect a solid titanium chassis but the plastic body is as attractive and resilient as any equivalent unit on the market.
This is a solid purchase and I highly recommend it with out a second's hesitation! Was this review helpful?
