1 of 5 Bad At Any Price Sunday, March 11, 2007 Steve Hagar from Phoenix, AZ
I bought this phone to replace my Panasonic because it was cheap and had 2 lines! From the start it gave me trouble with clarity and ease of use! Now less than six months after the purchase the battery will not stayed charged! I have not tried to get it replaced because it is not worth the effort! I am going back to the Panasonic! 4 of 5 good choice in expandable 2 line 5.8mhz Tuesday, February 27, 2007 Mark from Millburn NJ
The Moto md7081 is the best option among limited choices in the 2 line 5.8mhz expandable segment. The unit has good sound quality, nice features, and overall good build quality. A couple of features are not available on any competitive units:
1. can be set to call a programmed number and relay messages received.
2. ringers can be set to automatically turn off at 9pm and turn on at6am (but user can't change these times- either leave on all times/leave off all times or use the preset on/off times
3. intercom can be set to automatically turn on the mic of the called station which can be very convenient. just hit intercom, select the station and after 1 beep, you can immediately start a 2 way conversation without the other person having to push any buttons
A couple of areas needing improvement:
1. no auto line select (ie..pick free line)
2. no line preference preset (ie.. always use line 2)
3. handsets cannot stand and speakerphone is on back of unit
I bought the base and 7 additional handsets and have had them for about 2 weeks. Sound is good, range is at the high end of 5.8mhz units (which is less than most 2.4) and overall I am happy with these units. Was this review helpful?
