4 of 5 Decent for the price , but what do you want? Friday, August 08, 2008 A Customer from Los Angeles, CA
I purchased this headset as a replacement for the Motorola H500 I forgot to bring to California, where holding your phone while driving brings a big fine now.
The price was great and I figured that if it worked with my Moto Razr3 it would be worth it. As it is, it works just fine and pairs pretty easily once setup. The feedback on the main button is weak, making it hard to tell if you're actually pressing it firmly enough. It doesn't "click" very well and the response beep in the earphone is very difficult to hear, regardless of how high the volume is cranked up. The response time is also slow. It takes about 3-5 seconds for the phone to respond to the button. My H500 seemed to respond right away. I have no way of knowing if this is typical of the H350, or just "this one".
Others have commented on how loosely it fits the ear. I found that it is indeed looser than my H500, which uses the same hinged hook type clip. However I tried bending it a bit and now it is more snug. It doesn't fling off with a fast head turn as it did out of the box, but is a little "dangly" still. Not really bothersome for me because I'm not a person who wears it like a cyborg all the time. If I did it would feel annoying. But frankly, a person's ear shape will ultimately decide on whether it fits well or not.
The volume overall seems fair. Neither better or worse than my H500. Certainly better than some ear buds I've used over the years. But since I often use it driving a convertible, even with the top up, the amount of wind noise still makes it difficult to hear sometimes. I wish it "went to 11".
As for vocal response, a few people have difficulty hearing me, but again this is no worse than my H500. Occasionally I find I need to cup my hand to my ear to funnel my voice to it and shield the ambient sounds the mic is picking up. That again could be due to the wind noise inside the car.
The fit and finish are nice and it looks professional and new. If not for the tiny lettering on the inside shell, you wouldn't know it was remanufactured.
Overall, its cheap and works and that's all I wanted from it, so I can't complain, but I also can't review it as extraordinary either. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Not as good as expected Thursday, August 07, 2008 Dennis from Portsmouth, NH
The product was'nt what I had expected. After a couple of uses, the ear hook broke. Its a pain in the neck because I have to keep pairing and unpairing the device when I need to talk. It doesnt fit effectively on the ear and seems as if it comes out. Definitely wouldnt buy if given the option again. Nothing as shown in picture Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 great buy Tuesday, August 05, 2008 A Customer from brockton, mass
great unit for the price, easy to use and link up with phone. a little loose on the ear when you turn your head, but other than that no problem, great buy Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 They could had mad it better! Tuesday, August 05, 2008 A Customer from Waynesbor Pa
The biggest problem with Motorola H350 is the ear clip and the device to keep it in place on your ear.It constantly falls and jiggles when you do any type of movement even while driving. You constantly have to reposition it on your ear to keep it in place.Walking with it in place is down right impossible with out the use of duct tape.
Performance is good as far as clarity is concerned. operation to receive and end calls as well as volume control is good. But they could have made a better way for it to attach to your ear Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Great value but some issues with my phone... Tuesday, August 05, 2008 A Customer from Lawrenceburg KY
Doesn't always work with my Sanyo Katana (won't link, no sound when calling out, can't answer calls, etc.) but works fine with my spouse's Sanyo SCP-3200. If it worked as well with my phone as it does with his (or as well as his Jabra headset works with my phone), I'd be 100% happy. BUT I don't want to swap because the Jabra is just plain uncomfortable. So I'm stuck with this one that doesn't hurt my ear & that at least works SOMETIMES until I break down & buy a different one... 5 of 5 Comfortable and works well Tuesday, August 05, 2008 A Customer from Long Beach, CA
I like it! It doesn't grab onto the ear like some do, which makes it feel like it's not on well. But, it doesn't hurt after a while, and the parts that touch your ear are a rubbery material, which helps it stay in place. I can hear the other person very well, although I had to talk somewhat loudly to be heard. Was this review helpful?

1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 excellent, especially for price and via buy.com Tuesday, August 05, 2008 mikemasonmd from Santa Clara, CA
I'm very satisfied with the Motorola H350 from Buy.com. To date, no problems at all. It recharges very quickly and the fidelity/clarity appears to be excellent. I wish it could fit my ear better (tighter) but from what I've seen, most headsets are similar. I think it was a great buy at the price I paid and I would buy it again. I've tested the clarity with my answering machine and it sounds fine. My friend returned her Jawbone at 9x the price - poor quality sound. I rate 5 - does everything it should and the price was great! Also satisfied with Buy.com. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 GREAT!!! Monday, August 04, 2008 A Customer from Mystic, CT
Great little unit for the price! I bought two of them. One for me to use with my smart-phone, the other for Hubby with the Blackjack II. Works great with both. Can't beat the price! Bought cases for each of them too. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Motorola H350 Bluetooth Monday, August 04, 2008 A Customer from Piney Flats, TN
This bluetooth device installed easily on my Samsung phone and seems to work quite well. For the price I paid it is a great deal. No glitches so far. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great Value Monday, August 04, 2008 Sandra H. from Castaic, CA
Overall very happy with the product. Not too many buttons to deal with. It feels a little insecure on the ear but after some adjusting and re-adjusting it fits better - could be a little bit more snug. Bought 2 - one for me and one for my husband, this is his first earpiece and he's pleased as well. We have 2 different phones and it works well with both. Was this review helpful?

Easy to Configure with my Blackberry Curve.
Good quality by all means.
The best part is the amazing price.
I am enjoying this product. For those who are looking to buy Bluetooth Headset. Buy this one with this price. You won't regret.

4 of 5 H350 Headset - Recertified - Works as expected Monday, August 04, 2008 A Customer from Rochester Hills, MIchigan
Works fine, no issues. An added bonus is that it uses the same charger as my blackberry. It only comes with one over the ear hook so one size fits all but it does not flop around on my ear. Overall, for the price it is a good unit. Was this review helpful?

2 of 5 Please Dont buy it Monday, August 04, 2008 A Customer from Cleveland,Ohio
I just bought this bluetooth 2 weeks ago, When I used inside home I can able to hear the voice with little disturbance, but next day when I used outside in shopping mall then I couldn't able to hear voice completely and its making weird heavy sounds.Overall I don't suggest this at all. 4 of 5 Great price, iffy microphone Monday, August 04, 2008 Johnny from Washington, DC
This is good deal for a bluetooth headset. It is small, light, stylish, and comfortable to wear. The instruction booklet is a must if you want to use all the features of the headset, so don't lose it! The only con is that callers don't seems to hear me very well and so I have to speak louder than normal. Background noise makes it almost impossible for callers to hear me. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Does not hold a connection Monday, August 04, 2008 wcmarch from Brooklyn, NY
I am not happy with this device. It does not hold a connection with the phone which is Motorola and has to be constantly played with to make it work. Not Good! Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 You get what you pay for Monday, August 04, 2008 Streetman from Sunrise, FL
The Recertified bluetooth earpiece is worth what I paid, not much more. It does what it is surposed to do most of the time. I would not recommend this unit for business as you will disconnect your clients.
If you are just looking for an earpiece to talk to friends it is worth it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great BT head set, AWESOME PRICE Monday, July 28, 2008 NOS from Fox River Grove, IL
This is one of the items that makes me happy that I dont mind buying refurb.
It works just like it was new. I can walk a good 25-30 feet from my iPhone before I start to get distortion in the audio.
Great BT headset, Great price!! Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 You get what you pay for Tuesday, July 15, 2008 A Customer from River Edge, NJ
Good thing this is a recertified unit. The value would be much lower if I paid retail.
The good: setup very easy. Charges quickly.
The not so good: the unit does not line up with my ear due to the shape of the piece that goes around my ear, so I can barely hear with it at max volume. When worn outside, a light breeze causes a lot of wind noise at the other end of the call. The "answer/hang up" button is not easy to use. (A call doesn't hang up when I think it does) Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Besides the volume, everything else is good Thursday, June 05, 2008 A Customer from Irvine, CA
I bought this for my friend, so I am reviewing it as the "other" side of the phone call. The volume I can hear is lower than when he uses the normal mode. But since we just use it in quiet area, it's not a big problem. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great bargain, but..... Monday, June 02, 2008 The SnowDogg from Antelope, CA
As value, this headset is very good. Registration with my phone was beyond easy, and the command and volume control buttons are large and easily used while wearing. The audio is very clear (unless my phone is in my pocket) and it's not too tight on the ear. The drawback? It's not too tight on the ear. It flops around with even the slightest head movement, and there is no adjustment. It's OK for use while driving, but if I needed it for work or outside, I would suggest trying one on for fit before buying.

1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Pretty good for the money. Monday, June 02, 2008 A Customer from Stratford Ct.
Key notes: This unit is "recertified", which means it was MUCH less expensive than new, which means the "value" score is probabaly different than if I payed full price. Having said that, this is the second blue tooth cell phone device I've purchased. This one works very well: both the sound listening is good, and I am told that I can be heard fairly well. It connected easily with my phone (a Samsung). It is not as comfortable to wear as my Jabra, and makes the top of my ear sore after awhile. Not critical, but annoying, probably just a personal thing. Would I buy another? Not at retail, all of these are way overpriced. Would I recommend it? Yes, definitely. Just see if it is comfortable on your ear. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Kinda Crappy Sunday, June 01, 2008 n8tron from Tucson, AZ
You get what you pay for. When the description says "refurbished" it should just say "used". Overall the device is O.K., but the housing on the one I received looked like it had been rolling around in someone's pocket with loose change and car keys. Performance-wise, the is a constant "hum" coming through the earpiece. Like I said, you get what you pay for. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Fit Sunday, June 01, 2008 Kenny from Lynchburg, VA
The product works very well. The only complaint I have is that the (one size fits all) piece does not fit snugly on my ear. It will stay on my ear, but dangling. Otherwise, great product. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good Price; Works Fine Saturday, May 31, 2008 A Customer from New Hampshire
It's very easy to hook up with the phone and works fine. My only caveat is that it seems to hang very loosely on the ear although it stays on well, so it's more the feeling you might lose it than the actual threat of its falling off. I don't use it that much as I bought it for hands-free use in the car and no other reason, so the low price was important to me. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 No complaints Wednesday, May 28, 2008 A Customer from San Francisco, CA
Seems to work fine. Paired up fine with my RAZR V3m phone. Sound quality is ok (at least hearing people; not sure how good people hear me). This headset uses the same charger as my RAZR, so now I have an extra charger for my phone as well as not needing to have so many misc chargers for different devices. Was this review helpful?

3 of 5 Good value, moderate performance Monday, May 26, 2008 A Customer from northglenn, CO
Been using this for about three weeks. Like the size, and weight; small and light. Don't like the fact that if you use it where there is a lot of ambient noise, like in a car, that noise gets picked up just like voice. Makes it hard to hear and to be heard. Other than that it works like advertised, can't beat the price! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Motorola H350 Black Bluetooth Headset Saturday, May 24, 2008 ramiltan from Chula Vista, California
This is a very good headset for the price I paid. Yes i will recommend this product for everyone. I have been using this for about a month. The only negative comment if I have to be very picky is that the piece does not really fit well on my ear because I have a very small ear. But the performance is well worth the money I paid. Yes, buy this one you won't be dissapointed! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good Products can be inexpensive! Saturday, May 24, 2008 AL from California
If the interest is to hear your phone using a wireless device then this product is as good as the more expensive ones. Having the same quality and clarity of voice and with similar range. I can not ask for more. Thank you! Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 You get what you pay for Saturday, May 24, 2008 A Customer from Vienna, VA
Headset does not automatically connect to bluetooth phone, requiring you to go through the connection process every time you use it. Sound performance is acceptable but not as good as other units used. I would judge it not "commercial" grade, but perhaps acceptable as your first "starter" bluetooth headset, or good for your kids, as they will loose it anyway. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 This is a cheapie Friday, May 23, 2008 A Customer from Seattle, WA
This irritating product crackles and pops frequently. I have to place my cell in my upper pocket to get a usable signal. I cannot set the volume loud enough to hear my caller comfortably. Not a good purchase. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good enough for price point Friday, May 23, 2008 A Customer from Boston, MA
Product works well on calls. Ringer could be louder. Design does not allow adjustment for a snug fit on the ear especially if you have smaller ears. Microphone picks up wind noise when used outdoors or in a moving vehicle with open windows. Overall I'm satisfied with the HS850 but if I had to rely on a wireless bluetooth device for long conference calls while in a moving vehicle I would look to a totally hands-free in-car setup. Good enough functionality for the price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 a little more volume please Wednesday, May 21, 2008 Jeff from Fargo, ND
Works wonderfully. The volume is good for when the call is active. However, the ring volume could be higher. I have missed a couple calls because I didn't hear the bluetooth ring. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Good Deal Tuesday, May 20, 2008 A Customer from Gaithersburg, MD
Looks used after close examination, but no static. It works great, charges faster than instructions say, and has multiple good features. It would be perfect if it didnt swing out when you tilt your head and if could get a little louder. But still a great buy, so far. Was this review helpful?

3 of 5 Good value for occasional use Tuesday, May 20, 2008 A Customer from Arlington, VA
Previously logged reviews of this product are accurate. If you're looking for high-end audio performance or superior in-ear comfort for periods of long use, keep shopping. But if, like me, you need the option of brief/occasional hands-free use at an unbeatable price, this is is a reasonable option. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great value Tuesday, May 20, 2008 MG from Framingham, MA
Only paid $15, it paired great with my BlackBerry Pearl. The only minor complaint is that it doesn't filter background noise as well as some others when I'm in the car, but that's only if it's windy or there's lots of extra noise outside. Overall a great value. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Don't Buy Reconditioned or ReCertified Products fr Monday, May 19, 2008 Andrew from Los Angeles, CA
I bought this because I thought it was a value, even though it was "Recertified". Not so. It makes popping noises in the earphone while using it as if you're a mile away from the phone, even though it's right next to you. Annoying piece of junk.
And it says that after non-use for a couple minutes it goes into "Stand-bye" mode. Not so, it turns off completely. And it won't activate when you get a call if that happens. So what's the point!!! JUNK! I hate Motorola. Was this review helpful?

3 of 5 Decent Earpiece Monday, May 19, 2008 A Customer from Columbus, GA
The overall sound quality is good but the "hook" to keep the earpiece in place is awful. It feels like it is dangling there and can fall off at any minute. Also, when there is a call coming in and you hit the pick-up button on the earpiece it does not go through. It picks up the call, but I have to talk through the phone. That really stinks. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Works great! Monday, May 19, 2008 cjava from Blaine,WA
This is the first item I have purchased from Buy.com and having used it for the last week, I am very pleased with its performance. This Motorola Blue Tooth has excellent monitoring and talk times. It can go for days without a charge. Once you get used to the simple to use switches and the pleasant audio info tones, this unit is a breeze to use. Intefacing the headset to my Verizon Samsung SCH-u740 is a breeze. I wear the unit on my left ear and can keep it there for hours with no noticeable aches. Volume quality could be slightly louder but is still sufficient.
As a refurb unit, the condition and packaging were like "new". There sometimes is a minor scratch in the reception, but for the price and overall performance, you can't go wrong. Was this review helpful? Click here to see all 56 reviews
