5 of 5 "IT REALLY WORKS!" Wednesday, September 24, 2008
J Nash from Milwaukee, WI
We have 5 TV sets in the house on cable, plus high speed internet, plus cable telephone. We have more splitters than I can count. At least 4-5. I put the Motorola signal booster on the second floor in front of a splitter. WOW!!! I now have clear reception on the 2 sets in our bed rooms, on all channels. Definately worth it, although I thought it was a little over priced, but would buy again. EZ, installs in less than 5 minutes

5 of 5 great product Saturday, September 20, 2008
Ren from Phoenix,az
I have this booster and it works very well. The people who think it doesn't work have it installed in the wrong place. This needs to be installed where the cable comes into the house. Yes, that might mean you need to install an electrical outlet. Usually it is best to not amplify the signal for the cable modem but DO boost the tv signals (incl digital) I needed this for the digital tv signals for my hdhomerun. It showed a significant improvement. so basically split your incoming cable into 2. one for the cable modem and the other for the booster. then from the booster to all your tv's. Yes that also means having TWO cable runs from the entry of the house.

A Customer from South Bend, IN
Our digital signal was prone to pixelate until this unit was installed. Previous units caused trouble with the internet service. Very pleased with the purchase.

3 of 5 no more oooph Sunday, August 31, 2008
A Customer from North Central Ohio
I am having much trouble with pixalation and hoped this product might help. I am already using a couple pretty powerful amps but after reading other reviews thought this just might help. it did not. I am in a fringe reception area and have been living with a weak signal but on anolog, at least you can "see" some of what is happening, with digital, it is either all or nothing at all and a lot of programming is missed. we also live in a valley where satalite reception is impossible.

5 of 5 Worth every penny. Saturday, August 30, 2008
Chris from Somonauk, IL
Is your cable company run by morons and greedy thieves? Mine is. If you're getting a bad signal and don't feel like losing a day off of work waiting for the clueless cable guy to come to your house and lie to you, give this thing a shot. It worked for me.

1 of 5 Big disappointment Tuesday, August 26, 2008
A customer from Sacramento from Sacramento, CA
Based on the reviews I had read, I was excited to try this product, but it's been a big letdown. Tried it first upstairs, where the cable signal is not as strong. Hooked it up and rescanned the channels. To my disappointment, the TV actually locked onto fewer HD channels than when the cable had been hooked directly to the TV. I then tried it over at a friend's house, who uses an over-the-air antenna for her reception, and who receives a grainy, ghosting picture on many channels. After hooking up the signal booster, the poor TV reception had not improved one bit. I know many people swear by these in-line amplifiers, but this one did nothing to improve reception.

5 of 5 Works Well Monday, August 25, 2008
chuckpen from Carnation, Wa.
Motorola amp works well. I replaced an original amp that came with the house with this one. I have a 37" Sony Plasma and the picture is noticably better. Purchased this as a way to adress the pixelation I see on some of the HD channels and after one night of viewing that seems gone as well. Still monitoring but this looks like a worth while purchase. Recommended.

5 of 5 Huge Improvement Saturday, August 09, 2008
David Gomez from Lorain, OH
I have now had the Motorola booster for close to four months. I have Time Warner Cable. Instantly I noticed an improvement in my upstair televisions. I have three televisions upstairs, one in each bedroom. There is only one coaxial cable going upstairs so I've had to split it three times. The tv at the end of the run had light static for lower stations, and higher stations had no reception at all. I can now watch any station. Is it crystal clear? No, but the improvement is dramatic. But that is for a cable that was split three times from a cable that in turn came from a three-way splitter. So that's five tvs off of one line, with other lines throughout the house. I am very pleased with the results. One note. The booster needs to be plugged into an electrical outlet. Fortunately I had one near.

2 of 5 Didn't Really Work For Me Wednesday, August 06, 2008
A Customer from Springfield, MA
Since it was not an option for me to install this as close to the cable source as possible, I installed it between the cable from the wall and my modem/router. Unfortunately I didn't notice any improvement at all and eventually removed it.

4 of 5 Noticeable improvement but RG-59U Wednesday, August 06, 2008
A Customer from Minneapolis, MN
Noticeable improvement on TV channels. This items ships with 2 short lengths of RG-59U cable to hook it up. I discarded one of the lengths and used RG-6 (HD) instead. The other length of RG-59U is simply used for power, running from the power adapter in the wall to the power input on the device.

5 of 5 Works Great! Wednesday, July 30, 2008
A Customer from Myrtle Beach, SC
This amplifier did exactly what it said it would doboost my weak signal. Its working unbelievably well. On my HDTV cable box/cable modem connection the digital signal went from -7 to +10 db. and the analog signal went from -2 to +13. TVs on the non-modem cable splitter had an even weaker signal and this amplifier has made viewing much clearer on all televisions in the house. My home is the last on the line in the neighborhood; during the weekday the signal is usually fine (when the cable company comes to check it) but at night and on the weekends when everyone is watching TV or surfing the net, it stinks! This has stopped all the digital break-ups and audio drops, and it has stopped the snow on the analog TVs. Based on the previous comments, I was expecting marginal improvement, but this has far exceeded my expectations.

5 of 5 Fantastic product Thursday, July 24, 2008
A Customer from Seattle, WA
Using product with Comcast Digital Cable w/ HD. Easy to set up right out of the box. Hooked it up outside where my cable comes into the house, and the results were immediate. I started receiving digital channels that I didn't used to get, and my HD channels came in immediately without the delay that some of them used to have. The best part is that there is no longer any pixelating on the HD channels that I was getting with Comcast.

1 of 5 Motorola Signal Booster doesn't work Wednesday, July 23, 2008
junipertodd from Los Angeles, CA
I have a new HDTV connected to a roof-top antenna. I bought this unit to boost the signal for a couple of weak stations. Before installing it, I recorded the signal strength for each TV station. After installing this according to the instructions, I tested all of the stations again. This unit made absolutely zero improvement in the signal strength of my stations. A station that only had 2-3 bars before still only had 2-3 bars. I removed it.

5 of 5 Time Warner Cable NYC Tuesday, July 15, 2008
A Customer from New York, NY
We were having serious signal loss problems with our digital cable reception. We live in a Manhattan co-op with ~230 units. We called the cable company (TWC NYC) who came out and installed this unit. It's 2 individual components. The one displayed connects to your main line and then out to the splitter (if you have one). The other unit connects to a power outlet and an unused cable outlet. That wiring then connects to the "power" attachment (on the displayed item). We have had no problems what so ever with our cable reception since.

5 of 5 It fixed my digital cable Wednesday, July 09, 2008
Mark from Edina, MN
I had been having lots of trouble with my digital cable channels through both my TV and TiVo. Although I already had an amplifier on the line, it was a number of years old and I found by looking at technical screens on the TiVo that frequencies now were in the range of 800MHz on the digital channels. My old amp had no frequency range spec, but I was thinking that it might be limited to 600MHz or so. So, I installed this amp to replace my old one and my signals are all consistently clear now.

5 of 5 Works like a charm Friday, June 20, 2008
John S. from New York, NY
Incredibly enough, it works very well in augmenting the cable signal, just as advertised. The Internet side got a boost as well as the TV signal side. I have my cable split 5 different ways to modem, cable box, DVRs, PC TV tuners and with this device, there's no more ghosting, static, or anything else on the tuning of TV channels like I used to get. In fact, it worked so well, I bought 2 more units. :-) Just make sure that you install the unit at the earliest point of the cable coming into the home.

5 of 5 Local HDTV Antenna Reception Monday, June 02, 2008
A Customer from Michigan
I bought an antenna and was picking up most of the stations that I desired. Some digital signals were a bit "chunky" and didn't quite come in. I bought this booster and it stabilized all of the current channels as well as adding a couple of more. It is a great buy that boosted the reception of the Coax wiring throughout my household. I have cables run to every room, and this is what was needed to carrier the stations to every room in the house.

5 of 5 This really works Monday, June 02, 2008
sondra bolte from Columbus, IN
I live 50-75 miles from broadcasted TV stations. I use an external attenna to receive digital and analogue signal for my house. I have this signal split to 4 TVs or 3 floors of my house. This product has dramatically improved the signal and the number of channels I now receive. I was hoping for a slight improvement but was blown away by a huge improvement. All digital signals are stronger and I receive several channels I did not get at all before. And it was easy to set up...plugged it in, routed my attenna through it. From mailbox to improved viewing in less than 5 minutes.

5 of 5 Works better than I expected! Monday, May 12, 2008
A Customer from Bronx, NY
I usually do not put much value on signal boosters, most do not improve signal to the point that it is noticed. THIS unit works GREAT! I was very happy to find that all of my cable channels came in clear. Without it I was getting only about 10 channels. Very frustrating when you are paying for premium service. Finally - Now I get what I am paying for. Money well spent!

1 of 5 I Wasn't Impressed Thursday, April 24, 2008
A Customer from Sugar Hill, New Hampshire
I'm running a three-way splitter on my incoming cable-tv cable. One coax cable goes to my computer for Internet use and the two other cables go to separate televisions. I had purchased two of these Motorola Cable Signal Boosters after getting excited reading the reviews. I was anxious to try them to see if I could better the picture quality on my televisions and maybe even boost my Internet connection speed. The picture quality hadn't been bad on my TV's to begin with. I just had a bit of grainineness with the picture on each TV that I wanted to get rid of. I thought the Motorola boosters might take care of this small issue, but they didn't no matter how I configured the boosters along the coax cable to each TV. I tried one of the boosters with the Internet cable going to my computer. I had read that these boosters can be used with cable broadband Internet, but that didn't work, either, to improve anything regarding my Internet connection speed. In fact it had the opposite effect noticeably slowing-down my Internet connection speed. So... I hadn't noticed any improvement at all using the Motorola signal boosters. I was quite disappointed with this product. I guess my three-way splitter is working well-enough where I'm not losing enough signal that the Motorola cable signal booster could show a positive effect? Maybe these work well if you have a weak antenna or cable signal that has been producing a snowy picture on your TV.

5 of 5 Excellent Product Monday, March 24, 2008
A Customer from Barnwell, SC
I use this product to boost the signal off my antenna for HDTV broadcast. I used to get pixelation on HD broadcasts before I installed the Motorola signal booster even on a single TV with no splitters on the line. After adding this booster the picture is perfect even when connected to two televisions using a splitter. Make sure you connect the booster as close to the antenna as possible. The signal has to be boosted before it gets distorted by the line length. I have my antenna in the attic and the booster right at the antenna.
