4 of 5 A feast, indeed Tuesday, December 17, 2002 A Viewer from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Alanis Morissette has given an early Christmas gift for her fans: Feast on Scraps is a CD/DVD package that includes songs not included on Under Rug Swept and a concert from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The CD contains eight cast-offs from URS and an acoustic version of her hit single Hands Clean, which is haunting and far more absorbing than the original. The concert is what drags this package down a little. Her band is incredibly annoying and they do not add much to the songs other than silly sound effects. Her material from Under Rug Swept pales in comparison to 1998's Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie and 1995's Jagged Little Pill and they are only slightly improved by her new band. Other than that, Feast on Scraps is for her few die-hard fans only. Was this review helpful?
