Even though I have underground wiring, this area seem to be plagued with a lot of power outages. I am hopeful that this unit will protect my components and LCD from surges. There is no way of knowing if it is doing anything, but I am hopeful that it adds one more layer of protection and cleans up the electricity. I can't visually or audibly see or hear a difference, but if it works as advertised, I will be happy. It warns to unplug during storms, so I hope I'm always home when need be. Buying this unit is like purchasing insurance and hoping for the best.

Monster Cable Home Theater Reference HTS 3600 MKII This is a great value and terrific investment. It was easy to hook up, I feel very confident in this unit to protect my system. It eliminated an annoying hum in my speakers. Definitely a good investment to protect my system. The unit was shipped very promptly, smooth and no hassle. I was always against these types of products (power filtering devices) and generally felt like they made no real difference. I felt that these fell under the same category as Monster brand and other "high end" audio and video cabling, which after many tests I found to make no difference in quality vs cabling I purchased for a fraction of the cost on places like ebay (speaker wiring excluded). Recently, however, I bought two new high end Panasonic plasma TVs and as I looked closly one night, I noticed very slight snow effects and wavy lines scrolling on the screens. Even though it was not a major visual issue, I started focusing on it constantly since I now knew it was there. Therefore, I thought if anything, now was the time to test out if power filtering devices such as this made any difference, or if they were just a way to milk money out of consumers who knew no better. So I bought the product and hooked it up. All I can say is WOW!! Not only did the snow and lines disappear, but I can honestly say that both picture and sound greatly improved. The picture is now absolutely perfect from any distance. And not only did I see it, but even my girlfriend walked into the room not knowing what I had done and said to me that the picture looked sharper on the TV for some reason. I now highly recommend power filtering devices to all of my friends and anyone who cares about sound and video quality. If you are on the fence, let me help you decide...purchase this item!! You will not be sorry.

I found the Monster HTS 3600 MKII made a noticeable improvement in the sound of my system. There was more detail and air. You can read the entire article at: www.twochannelaudio.com. I had excellent service from Buy.com and at their price this component is definitely a 5 all around. At list price, I would reduce the value and performance marks to a 4.

This is a well built component that will provide the protection you need at a very reasonable price. Buy.com processed my order quickly and efficiently. I ordered it on a Monday and it was delivered on Wednesday. It was packaged using extra thick boxing material with bubble wrap for cushioning, and the box was as clean and dent free when it was delivered as if it came from just down the street. My only recommendation would be for Buy.com to remove the description of the item from the external packing slip. I have added Buy.com to my short list of trusted etailers.
