I purchased this thinking it was an adapter for displaying my laptop display to my HDMI TV. It connects to my macbook FIREWIRE port. I've written the vendor twice but have not heard back (that is my question with ZERO answers. In addition to a direct email which has not been answered). I had to purchase a mini-display-port to HDMI adapter from another vendor.
