4 of 5 Nice overall but long bulky wires Monday, January 05, 2009 A Customer from Seattle WA
The wires on this headset are about 4 times heavier than the actual earphones+mic! They're heavy duty and LOONG. The mic and earphones seemed to fit pretty well in my helmet. The push-to-talk switch wasn't working, but I kept pushing it and after a while it started to work. It plugs exactly into the midland lxt340 walkies so that's a relief. It's pretty loud, so I expect that I should be able to hear it on the highway with earplugs.
The headphones are MONO only, you couldn't connect them to your mp3 player to get a stereo effect. You could, with an extension, listen to mono music though. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great for 4 wheeling!!! Saturday, July 26, 2008 Chuck from Irmo, SC
I have tried all sorts of "headsets" to wear under my helmet while riding my ATV. This is by far the best one I have found. The sound is great and my family says I sound much clearer with this unit that with the old ones. I would recommend this to anyone. Easy to install, easy to use, and a reasonable price (for what you are getting). Was this review helpful?

My wife and I used these radios for bike to bike communication using the headsets on a 1400 mile road trip to Arkansas. The clarity and range of these radios is phenomenal. The only problem we had was in a downpour and the wife's headset shorted out and went to constant transmit. When we got home and dried out it started working again. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Fantastic device! Saturday, April 05, 2008 A Customer from salem, oregon
I purchased a pair of these headsets and installed them behind the padding in our helmets for a better cosmetic look. I put a few stitches on the strap of the helmet and wrapped around the plug end that connects to the helmet. This kept the connector from floating around when I put the helmet on.
I tried the units as intended, just sticking them in the helmet and it worked but found that arrangement to be a bit annoying on longer rides with all the extra cord hanging around.
All in all, great buy and good equipment. For what you get these seem a little expensive but they are the best price for this type of device I could find any place. Was this review helpful?
