Its not plug n play but its easy enough to install. The range is rather poor, however, and must be line of sight, which almost defeats the purpose of wireless.

I purchased this keyboard and mouse because I was told that I was developing carpal tunnel syndrome. Although, I don't believe that this is the silver bullet that will completely solve my condition, I have been very pleased with the difference I feel. With the spacing of the keyboard I definitely a difference in the tension in my hands and arms. There is enough alleviation of stress to more than warrant this purchase.

I use an ergonomic keyboard at work and was looking to get one for myself for our computer at home. Once I started looking around, I saw this set. Not only was I able to get both an ergonomic keyboard and mouse, I was also able to go wireless! I can't tell you how nice it has been to use this set. The mouse moves easily and I love the feel of it (both the weight and the roller on top). The keyboard is easy to use and also sits comfortably on our desk. To be honest, I don't use the quick keys, but I also appreciate that they are there. I haven't had this for too long, but the batteries are still going just fine and the connection has never faltered or been broken. I am very happy with my purchase.

I was looking for a wireless keyboard and mouse for several months and, after reading several reviews, decided to take a chance on the Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Pro. It was easy to setup and the response time is very good. Every feature works flawlessly. And, it was a great buy!

Having used MS keyboards for nearly a decade I expected this model to provide me my usual amount of satisfaction. I had never used a wireless keyboard and mouse before though. The keyboard and mouse are very comfortable and operate well with Vista (provided you get the updated drivers from MS). My only complaint is with the range of the devices. The documented range of 1.8m is slightly inaccurate. I only get about 1.2m.

This is the second time I have bought the Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse. The first time someone bought me the ergonomic keyboard by mistake and told me to 'just get used to it'. I did get used to it and now love it. I just upgraded to this product and have been using it for a couple of weeks. It has increased my productivity because it has helped to increase my typing speed and comfort. It actually makes me want to type:)

I love this keyboard and mouse I have had them for over 3 months now I like not having the cables my wife even like the set. The keyboard and mouse have a very nice response and feel. Besides that they look great also

I recently switched from a Microsoft Natural Keyboard/Intellimouse Optical to this combo, and I haven't had cause to look back yet. The keyboard is almost identical to its wired counterpart and works flawlessly. I've never been a big fan of the all the "Multimedia" buttons on the top of the board, but they work well if you like them. Most of them bring up an on-screen display to show what is being done. The mouse is great as well, with the exception of a few minor details. One of the two side buttons is placed a little awkwardly, but with its default use of "Forward" in internet applications, I personally don't use it much anyway. The only other issue is button-mapping... There are substantially fewer mapping options for this mouse when compared to other Microsoft Intellimice. The devil is in the details, but you can overlook these when you realize the everything else is excellent. The wireless connectivity has been great, and on the few occasions where the connection was compromised, simply reseting the channels fixed the problem. For battery life, I have had mine for ~2 months and battery levels are still reading full; so far so good. Microsoft's recommended price is ridiculous, but Buy.com's price is more reasonable and puts it apace with other similiar products. As much as I dislike Microsoft sometimes, they have always made superior keyboards and mice in my opinion. The keyboards are quieter and more responsive and the mice are more ergonomically designed (for righties) and have more funtionality with buttons, wheels, etc. This combo is no exception and is without a doubt the best keyboard and mouse that I've ever owned.

I upgraded from a Multimedia Natural Keyboard to this and I just got it yesterday and am so amazed at the many features that I didn't realize it had. I am recommending this to all my friends and family~ worth every penny I paid for it and more! thanks buy.com for such a great deal... best price I found on the internet!
