Product Guides

Do more and carry less with the first ever notebook mouse with an integrated slide presenter, laser pointer, and media remote control. It's an all-in-one super tool for the office, road, and home--the only input device you need.

The VX-3000's automatic face tracking software, which takes advantage of the camera's pan, tilt, and zoom controls, follows you so you don't disappear off-screen. Meanwhile, the camera automatically adjusts for low-light conditions for improved video quality, and a built-in unidirectional microphone with acoustic noise cancellation provides crystal-clear audio. Video effects give you a fun way to express yourself, and last but not least, the camera's universal attachment base fits on most monitors, including flat screens. Alternatively, the camera can sit directly on your desk.

Designed for use by people on the go, the Microsoft Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 is compact and comfortable, with a focus on convenience and mobility. Plus, it has a sleek and stylish design that looks great on any desktop in your home or office. Customizable buttons help you get quick access to the media, programs, and files you use most often, while 4-way scrolling takes advantage of Microsoft's Tilt Wheel technology, letting you scroll four ways for greater efficiency and comfort. Meanwhile, the Instant Viewer function allows you to click the scroll wheel button to instantly display your open windows. Then you just point and click to select the window you want. Another feature, the Magnifier, lets you point and click to enlarge and edit details on your screen. Note that while the VX-3000 is optimized for use with Windows Live Messenger, Microsoft LifeCams also work with other instant messaging programs, such as Yahoo Messenger and AOL Instant Messenger.

The Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000's presentation controls allow you to smoothly navigate through Microsoft Office PowerPoint and other presentations from up to 30 feet away from your PC. Using the integrated Digital Ink technology, you can give your presentations more impact by highlighting vital information on screen. You can also use the device as a media remote for multimedia presentations, or to control digital entertainment from the comfort of your living room sofa. And don't worry, thanks to a built-in battery life indicator, you won't get caught with a dead battery--the Battery Status LED Indicator glows red when the battery is running low. An on/off switch lets you turn your three-in-one device off to extend battery life even longer.

The Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 features 2.4 GHz Bluetooth connectivity with First Connect technology that makes it easy to connect wirelessly right out of the box. This wireless mouse technology also lets you work without worrying about tangled wires. Meanwhile, high definition laser technology offers more precision, more response, and smoother tracking during use.

5 of 5 Great Mouse! Love it!! Wednesday, April 08, 2009
    Eric from Miami, Florida

Bluetooth is the way to go for a laptop with BT capabilities. No annoying appendage sticking out the side of your machine, and the presentation feature is a bonus. All mice should be bluetooth at this point, if just for range, if nothing else.

5 of 5 It is very valuable deal. Sunday, April 05, 2009
A Customer from Chapel Hill, NC
This mouse and pointer is cool device for me. I am using it in home to control the computer connecting to HDTV as a remote when I look the video from internet. Only thing I want to say is it is so sensitive that I can not put the mouse arrow on the right place I want to. But when I got familiar to it, it is very useful in home. Also I tried to use it for PPT remote, I works well for that. So actually, this kute mouse could be appropriate device for both home computer remote and presentation ppt remote.

    4 of 5 A fair good Bluetooth Mouse Wednesday, April 01, 2009
    A Customer from Pittsburgh, PA
This is a really good bluetooth mouse. There are several useful buttons. But it's not as good as I expected. The position of presentation buttons could be better placed so that I don't need to hold the left/right button when I want to press next/preview button on the bottom. The mouse goes slow sometimes maybe because my computer goes a little busy. This happens several times a day. One more thing, if you want to save one usb for bluetooth receiver and keep all the functions by on-board BT receiver. Some modifications are need for the driver. Why microsoft cannot be more compatible...

5 of 5 Great performance, great design, great price Tuesday, March 31, 2009
    Frank from Tallahassee, FL
Being on the road often, my laptop is my sole computer, in or out of the office. I've become very accustomed to the "mouseless" style. This mouse interested me for the presentation capabilities. This combines lots of great features, original packaging includes a permanent travel case which hold mouse and bluetooth dongle neatly together and it works like a charm!

5 of 5 Has everything you need Friday, March 20, 2009
    Sean from Lexington, KY
This mouse feels comfortable when used as a mouse, but is a little funky when using in presentation mode. Once you get used to it, it's great though. I loved that it has four buttons, which is hard to find in a wireless mouse. The price was right!

    5 of 5 I love this mouse Wednesday, March 18, 2009
    Dr. Bailey from Louisville KY
As a professor, I am constantly giving PowerPoint Presentations. However, due to the fact that there is no wireless internet in my class, I was tethered to the front desk when lecturing. Now I am happy to say that I have broken free because of this excellent 4 in 1 device. I can walk around the room and click through the presentation with ease. The mouse switches from "Mouse Mode" to "Presenter Mode" at the touch of a button and this alleviates the accidental button push that the other user had described. My students love the magnifier feature as well, I use it to roll over internet text or graphics so that they can see them in more detail. I can even use the mouse to control my media player when I am working away from the computer. I am glad I bought two of these when I did (one for my lovely wife as well). I am even considering buying one of these for each of my department members as a gift.

3 of 5 Innovative but awkward button placement Monday, March 02, 2009
    Kevin from Pittsburgh PA
The express intent of using this mouse was at our conference room table to use for meetings and presentations. It works well as just your ordinary, compact wireless mouse but also flips over to control powerpoint presentations. It even has a built-in laser pointer. The problem with the "presentation mode" if you will, is that its hard to hold the mouse and press the forward and back buttons without pressing the regular left and right click buttons on the other side. You almost need two hands to gingerly hold the mouse without pressing any buttons. Should be fine once I get used to it, but a little awkward if you've not used it much before. Definitely do not go into a presentation without having practiced specifically with the mouse.

    5 of 5 Great Product! Sunday, September 14, 2008
A Customer from Old Bridge, NJ
This Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse is a great asset for anyone who does powerpoint presentations. The software was easy to install and the operation is easy. The only thing I am disatisfied with is the laser pointer stopped working already. Buy.com had the best price around for this item.

4 of 5 Good blend overall Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Richard Collins from Fort Mill, SC
As is often the issue with products that aren't task-specific, this presenter mouse isn't as good as a standalone presentation device, or quite as good as a standalone BT travel laser mouse. But it's a great compromise to create a single usable device that's small and does the trick. As a presentation device, it'd be nice to have a timer with vibrate/buzzer to know when you're nearing the end of your allotted presentation time. But you can't have it all I guess. As a mouse, it'd be nice to have slightly larger side buttons for extra tasks (like using the left button to go back a page in your browser; the ones on there are tiny and tough to click). Value-wise it's not a cheap device; but it is cheaper than buying 2 separate devices. Convenience wise it's awesome if you have built-in blue-tooth in your laptop and it's tiny so it travels easily.

4 of 5 Presentation Mouse misses on Presentations Tuesday, September 25, 2007
    Mike Roth from Cin., OH
This mouse does not work right with PowerPoint 2003 SP2. Microsoft tech support was of little help in solving the real problem. No solution found. "Presenter Mode" fails to work.

5 of 5 Great notebook mouse that works with onboard bluet Thursday, September 06, 2007
A Customer from Buffalo, New York
This is a extremly good mouse. It works flawlessly with onboard bluetooth built into notebooks without using the included dongle. The presenter buttons work great and are good for anyone who does prentations in powerpoint a lot. The included software works well and the tracking on the mouse is excellent. Overall it is a great mouse for a laptop. A++
