5 of 5 Great HTPC keyboard/mouse set Monday, April 28, 2008 dissonance from somewhere
First off, this was extremely easy to setup. The only thing that would be better was if the keyboard was rechargable without removing the batteries. It works great...

When I first plugged in the USB adapter I only had a ~4 foot range. Figuring this was just an interference problem (adapter was under the DVI video cable and above the wireless-g antenna, along with several other cables), I move the adapter next to the TV via an extender, and now the range is more than adequate.

This set includes the 8000 mouse, which tracks perfectly on my arm of my microfiber recliner. The right-side button is an adjustable magnifying window that comes in handy when used with an HTPC setup. I haven't had enough experience with the keyboard to really say much about it. Works exactly as advertised, right out of the box. The mouse always works immediately and the keyboard is excellent with great range. I am a huge fan. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Not Compatible With Media Center PC's Thursday, November 29, 2007 SAC from Colorado Springs, CO
J to the UNK... After installing the pointer and keyboard software my computer began running slower than a drunk special olympics competitor. Turns out the software that manages the pointer and keyboard makes my Media Center HP very angry. After consulting with Abu-Alsharrif (Todd) at the Microsoft Support Center, I found out that the keyboard is not and has never been compatible with my system. He offered to show me how to make my mouse and keyboard work without any of the "special" features, thus rendering my towering investment virtually useless...aside from being able to point, click and type. Additionally, it's not like this is a new problem for Microsoft...the "trouble ticket" has been in their "research team" since March of 2006. Nice job Microsoft...Skip this pile and find something else. Just make sure that "something else" isn't the newer Entertainment 8000...it won't work either. It should be noted that although I knew the keyboard didn't have a number pad and figured "heck, it'll be fine"...it wasn't fine. It sucked and slowed me down everytime I tried to put any sequence of more than 3 numbers in. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great keyboard and mouse Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Manuel N. from Burke, VA
Bought a couple of cheaper keyboard/mouse combos but performance was poor. I wanted to use it to connect to my laptop which is hooked to my TV so I could work from a distance. Invested in this microsoft one and I am very happy. It works all the time. My advice....invest a little extra and get this one. You won't be disappointed. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Perfect as Usual Tuesday, June 19, 2007 Kevin G from Englewood, CO
After running around town trying to find this keyboard, I came up empty handed. Went to Buy.com, found the keyboard, price was less than other retailers, ordered item, received item in good condition. Another flawless purchase. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product Wednesday, April 18, 2007 Jay from FL
This is the best bluetooth mouse & keyboard combo I've had yet. The keyboard took some getting used to with its size and lack of a number pad. An overlooked feature of the keyboard is that it can be used to control the mouse as well. Was this review helpful?
