Microsoft Messenger Laptop Bag - Edge - Fits up to 17" screens

I just got a new larger screened laptop and needed a new case. This case has it all and is very well made. It has a padded case in the flap for your IPOD or other MP3 and the is a matching one for your cell or ?? (as well as a Cell spot on the side). Large zippered pocket in the flap is good to store tickets and such. The compartments are well padded. The carrying handle and shoulder straps are also well padded. All in all a great value for the price and very well made. Very pleased with the product.

this has been the best messenger bag I've had for my laptop and it was cheaper than the rest. I am very satisfied. I would recommend to anyone in need of a bag

Got my laptop bag and was pleased with the look and the feel. I have a Dell Vostro 1710 laptop with 17" screen and it's a little tight fitting into the bag but it does slip into the pocket well. There could be a little more thickness/padding surrounding the machine itself but overall it's a good product for the price. Plenty of storage too.

#1 Question: Can you really fit a 17" screen laptop in the compartment it was supposed to fit in, YES YOU CAN! my HP Dv7 fits just fine but you need to remove the Velcro divider used for smaller laptops. It has more than enough storage and specialty pockets for everything you could ever need with out being to bulky of a bag. The orange inside is really nice looking and you can use it to flash for help if ever needed, HA HA! very attractive looking bag indeed and the Microsoft name will make people take notice of you, maybe.

My huge Gateway P-7805u 17" gaming laptop / desktop replacement with extra-large battery fits very nicely -- and snugly, which is the idea, so it won't move around -- in the padded compartment. Just adjust the Velcro-ed side restraint and it's good to go anywwhere. The bag looks sharp and is made of durable materials, so I'm proud to take this to see clients. I've had fancy leather bags before but they just don't hold up under constant use. This bag also features custom, geek-oriented compartments that leather bags mostly just don't offer.

I needed a bag for my 17" laptop and the price on this one attracted me because I was having a difficult time finding a bag to fit a larger screen. I haven't received the rebate yet but the price can't be beat. The shipping was extremely fast and the product was as described. I have no trouble fitting the laptop into the bag. Would definitely recommend this bag.

As others have said it is a very tight fit for my 17" HP laptop. It does have a lot of room for other charger, mouse, and miscellaneous items and zippered pouches are abundant for smaller stuff. Good bargain with the rebate and the low price.

With the rebate, this seems like a solid messenger bag for the value. Seems well made, with adjustable pockets and such. I would recommend it!

I bought it for 20$. This is the biggest bang for the buck. Lots of very convenient pockets and fits a 15.4'' perfectly with lot of padding. Not sure if this is convenient for 17'' laptops. May be a bit small. I highly recommend this bag to anyone who needs a laptop bag.

This case satisfied my objected. It received my laptop with ease and stored all of my accessories safely. Only concern are the edges which are exposed. overall Its a good investment.

Bag accomodates my 16.1 screen comfortably. Laptop is well protected by cushioned inside sleeve with room for other items without being bulky. Pocket on the outside keeps cell phone handy. I carry this bag everyday. The strap fits well on the shoulder and doesnt slip like many I have had in the past. Excellent bag engineering and not overly masculine for a female to carry.

If you are looking for a bag for your 17' laptop, I think you ca do better than this. This bag is quality and it has a lot of space for things but my laptop barely fits into it. It really is a tight squeeze. It gets the job done and I honestly don't know if another bag would have the same problems but just don't be surprised when you get this and see just how close thelaptop comes to not fitting. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Like everyone that posted, I have a 17" laptop, but it's just a bit too big to fit into the padded section of the bag. Granted, after rebate and google checkout I'll have only paid about $10 for the bag so I can't really complain, but it needs about another 1/2 to 1" so that the fit isn't so snug. Otherwise, it's a nice laptop bag for the price, and protects my laptop well.

What originally attracted me to this laptop bag was that it would fit my wide screen laptop and the price (after a rebate). Even though I have only used it a few weeks, it seems very durable. There are a lot of pockets and plenty of room for accessories and papers. I especially like the external pockets for the phone, mp3 player and water bottle holder. The only drawback (and it is a minor one) is that it will not stand upright on its own. It will need to be laid flat or leaned up against something else if you want it to stand up. Overall, it is a good, solid bag; better than you will find at most retail stores for the price (even without the rebate).

Although it is a nice bag at a low price (with the rebate), the interior compartment designed to store a 17" screen is very tight. Not sure if my Toshiba P205-S3647 is wider than the standard 17" laptop, or the case is too small.

Overall, I am satisfied with the bag. However, the padded pocket for my 17" Acer is a bit snug, so I use the other, non-padded pocket.

I love the bag at first time I see on Buy.com and buy it because of the cheap price($24 after rebate). When the real bag came to me. I am a bit disappointed because it is too big to my 14" laptop. However, the bag is still fit for my laptop plus all accessaries, namely adapters, CDs, an extra battery and documents. I also have another fit bag when I don't need to carry lots of things with me. Overall the amount of space and anti-bump all around inside the bag will make 15.4 and 17" laptop owner so happy. They will be kept very well without any scratches causing from accesseries.

I find that for the price this item seems to be well worth the money I paid, providing I receive the rebate, hopefully another 5 to 7 weeks from now. The reason I only rated it a 3 for performance and ease of use is because it still needs an extra one half inch in the padded compartment to properly fit my 17 inch laptop computer. The width is fine but the height doesn't accommodate my laptop fully, and the top sticks up over the padded compartment. The add states that the Microsoft Messenger Laptop Bag - Edge up to 17" screens - 39000. I also tried fitting in several other 17 inch laptop computers of different brands then mine and found this same issue. There is also another compartment in front of the padded one but although it just about fits in that one, it doesn't offer the proper protection.

Have a 17 inch MacBook Pro, and needed a new case. This one is great, has enough room for all accessories I wanted to carry, AND some paperwork besides. Is a good value and a MUCH better one when on sale!

I was looking for cheap 17" laptop bag. This bag meets all of my expectations. Everything is perfect chains, look, space, weight. Only thing which I came across is the image for this bag looks like it is a leather bag but actual finishing of this bag is a lot different.
