    When I first saw this game come out I was excited but wasn't about to pay $50 for it. So, I waited for the price to come down. I started to shop around on the internet and found it a great buy on Buy.com and ordered it. How I waited anxiously for its arrival and couldn't wait to play it. I've always wanted to fly the Corsair from the world's famous Black Sheep Squadron in a flight sim is the number one reason I wanted this game. You also get to fly the Wildcat, Hellcat, Zero, and the Lightning. Graphics and sound are both pretty good. Each aircraft's performances differ as they would during World War II; however - the Corsair has 6 cannons (3 on each wing) NOT 2 as it appears to show while firing at enemies (2 cannons, 1 on each wing) That goes the same with the others. Especially the P-38 Lightning. It fires on one gun not all 5 or 6 guns on the nose. It doesn't give you choice to choose the gun assignments on the Lightning whereas you can in European Air War. Although I only played quick combat and free flight modes so far and liked what I saw. One downside is it doesn't come with a manual - manual is on disc. Also - to play game you have to insert disc 2 to play. The AI enemies are pretty good and will go after you in a dogfight and try to shoot you down (and they do if you're not careful). Mid-air collision is common if trying to shoot head-on and trying to vear out of the way at the last minute. What I found real awesome is after to come in close to a kill and the enemy explodes in front of you is you get to fly right through it without getting any damage to your craft. Now that's realism !!! I have never seen a combat sim that does that ! Buy this game and you won't be disappointed with the cost and gameplay.
