I was burning discs for my laptop (recovery discs. They made me burn it instead of providing me with one). The problem I had was the my laptop would constantly burn the 10th or 11th disc and have an error. This was frustrating (I had to burn 12) because I couldn't resume and would have to start over again. I then ran out of CD-R's and ordered these. I have now bought 2 (2nd one on the way) of these spindles. Out of the 1st 100, not a single coaster! I have used these on 3 different drives, 2 CDRW's & a combo DVDRW/CDRW drive. I never did hit the 52X mark, but to the best of my knowledge, I don't think any if the drives rated at 52x ever had, regardless of the media used. Was this review helpful?

I have been using Memorex CD-Rs for some time with perfect results and no problems. One minor detail I like about this new 52X version is that the rated speed is imprinted into the label side of the disc, so I'll know what it is months from now when I no longer have the original packaging. This media is awesome! I will never buy any other media again! So far, I have bought about 600 of these CDs--not even 1 has failed!
