This item originally stated that it came with the U3 encryption system, which is why I purchased it. Instead, it came with the Migo Vault system which is horrible. Just be advised.... Was this review helpful?

Misleading U3 in product description. Nothing about this drive is U3 and doesn't come with U3 sw.
Seller doesn't specifically state U3 functionality, so maybe technically, they are off the hook, but very misleading. Makes me wonder who really wrote the first two reviews, because mine sure didn't have U3, and I can safely assume it wasn't supposed to, since the full description didn't specify it.
If you need or want U3, make sure the full description states the functionality and don't be influenced by "reviews". Think twice though, about U3 password managers, as I have read numerous complaints about unstability with that sw.
U3 wasn't my primary reason for purchasing it, or I would have returned it.
After hefty (especially for ground) shipping fee, this was no deal, but probably about what you would pay in a bricks and mortar store, fyi.
Also important to note that the little built-in loop in the housing won't fit onto a standard key ring. The housing loop on the drive is too small. I am going to have to fashion a smaller jewelry type ring on it that I can then attach to my key ring.
Just some tips to think about when considering your next flash drive purchase.

this is my first time buying from here ....I received Item within 72 hours...i saw the same travel drive at store for double the price....works perfect...u3 allows it to have a password to open files (u3 takes up minimal space)...this can be deleted if you do not want it on drive...5 star product.. 5 star price.... 5 star shipping...thanx Was this review helpful?

I researched U3 applications, conducted many interviews and decided that purchasing this particular model was the most efficient task that I could do on that day. Buy.com offered the best price that day, and the product fits in all my computers whether its in the back, side front or coexisting with other devices. Its slim design and the mini menu it runs is just great. I love being able to click on an eject button once and whip it out. My other usb devices, cause me to pause for station identification, click 3 times etc. The 9 seconds of freed up time multiplied over several years will really add up!!!

This Memorex 2GB flash drive is the best that I have ever owned. It comes with a software bundle called U3 that allows you to save portable programs, settings, backgrounds, and passowrds. The flash drive also comes with many types of encryption including AES. It is fast and affordable. The only downside is that the cap is clear, so it is very easy to lose. Other than that, it is the best flash drive that I have ever had. Was this review helpful?
