This DVD burner works perfectly. I bought it to replace a Samsung DVD+RW drive that stopped opening at all (I do not recommend Samsung DVD burners for this reason). This drive burns great, no coasters yet. I tried the lightscribe feature and it looks pretty good, it's monochromatic and takes about 20 minutes to burn, but it's better than hand labeling. Somebody mentioned that it was slow to open, this is not the case at all. It is about halfway open in half a second, if you really wanted to be that impatient, you could put a dvd in it when it was only half open. It is fully open in about a second. No complaints at all about this one! Price was right too. Was this review helpful?

Easy to install and use quickly. Don't forget that LightScribe disks are costlier and less abundant that typical recordable DVDs; but I searched online and bought 50 disks for just under 50 cents apiece. My first project was to duplicate an existing promotional DVD at my workplace and create 25 copies with a custom inscribed label. The process went flawlessly. It took a while -- about 45 minutes per disk, including the labeling process -- but that's what I would expect using just one computer. For our low-budget operation, this has been an inexpensive, attactive solution. Was this review helpful?

I recieved the DVD burner and installed it without a hitch. Works well and is much faster than the old one it replaced in my computer. The only complaint I have is that the unit came with no software and I had to find the Lightscribe s/w and download it. Overall I am satisfied. Was this review helpful?

I like this dvd drive. It installed with no problem and the price was pretty good for the features. I can now make my DVD copies again after my other one died a while ago. It is a little louder when copying, but it is also a lot faster than my previous drive so I guess it is worth it. Was this review helpful?

I bought this DVD burner drive to replace an older drive that was malfunctioning. The price was great. Shipping was fast, installation very easy. Solid, more quiet operation. Have not had any of the previous mis-reads as with my older drive. LightScribe feature is very nice. Only CON is that the tray opens a bit slow. Was this review helpful?

I purchased this LightScribe DVD burner to replace an OEM burner that came with my Dell PC a couple of years ago. The installation was quick and easy and worked w/o problem. The Nero software was nice and enabled be to use the LightScribe feature which has worked flawlessly.
