I've used the McAfee product line for 10+ years and have never had cause to regret the purchase. VirusScan Plus combines two of the available software products: a effective virus-checker and a dependable firewall. All incoming data is automatically scanned for known viruses. Because hackers never rest, virus updates are received often (via the Intenet) and scans of your entire system can be scheduled. The firewall alerts you whenever attempts are made to either send or receive data from unapproved sources. Once approved the product remembers and further attempts are permitted. A very good product, very quickly delivered. Beats the hell out of Symantec's programs, which wouldn't install on my computer, and I had 3 months of run-around from their Indian tech reps. Don't buy Symantec. McAfee seems to be a very good alternative. Was this review helpful?
