i bought this product because it was free with rebates. this viruscan thing didn't have full protection for your computer, but it's at least better than my old security trendmicro something. not too sure what it was. yeah this mcafee is definitely better and easier to use. i'm not too experienced with antivirus stuff, but i like it well enough. Installing McAfee caused my computer to completely crash to where I could not even boot in safe mode. When I called McAfee the technical department could not solve my problem as expected. When pursuing a refund I was on hold for 30 minutes (while their message kept saying they value my call) before I could get ahold of the customer service person. I would suggest pursuing an alternative virus scan protection, Was this review helpful?

I was extremely pleased with the price and quality of product and the shipping was so quick, I couldn't believe it when it arrived in 3 days. I wish I could have ordered the other items on promotion at the time, but the items went out of stock quickly. I will watch my emails for future promos, they do honor the prices. I've used McAfee Virus Scan for years. Never had a problem. It updates itself everyday, and I haven't noticed any conflicts with any other software. I have had, however, problems with Norton in the past. Plus, it seems to me McAfee is a little more effective in the number of viruses it recognizes. I highly recommend it. Was this review helpful?

After years of struggling with Norton's (Symantec) bugs, I tried McAfee's security software. The program loaded correctly the first time. No bugs, at least not so far. And the default settings allowed me to visit all of my previous safe sites. I can't remember a Norton upgrade that ever went as smoothly. Glad that I made the switch. Was this review helpful?
