When I installed the softwear on to my computer it has slowed down my internet speed down tremendously. In fact , I need to contact McAfee about this. Value is fine assuming that I will get my rebate check.

I've been a Norton user for the last 12 years. I purchased the new Norton Internet Security 2007, but it is a resource HOG for memory/processor and slows my system down to a snail's pace when opening an internet browser or accessing email that requires a scan. The new McAfee Total Protection works well and is mostly unnoticable. Unless Norton improves, they've lost my vote of confidence to McAfee.

5 of 5 Great for Reducing Records in Filing Drawer Wednesday, April 18, 2007

Bought this ( actually two ) for eliminating phone statements and backing up tax records in filing drawer ( most are available online in PDF ). Got rid of 1.5"+ of paper statements ! Works great. Good price with rebate.
Tip for those worried about losing cap: While cap is easy to loose, there is easy fix: 1) Save wire key ring from car key next time you take your car to car dealer ( extra ring would not be needed if USB cord was 3/8" longer ) 2) Add key ring to plastic loop at end of USB key, and ( after 4 ) smaller ring to wire key ring 3) Drill two 1/16" holes in right place vertically on side of USB cap about 1/16" to 3/32" apart ( locate bottom hole such that USB cord will not interfere with cap/USB when cap is snapped back in place ) 4) Loop cord through holes and back through itself to secure it ( tricky, you will need a toothpick ( and patience ) to push cord through the holes ) 5) Done... you will never loose USB cap ( unless you loose USB too ! ). Use one of the small black paper clips to secure USB cord to filing folder and you are set. Much better than 1.5"+ thick file of paper statements. Was this review helpful?

It took some doing to install as I had a previous version loaded which interferred. I went to McAfee's web site, downloaded a "clean- up" program which worked very well. Then the install was easy. I have Norton on some of my computers and McAfee on some. Both work great but the price on McAfee can't be beat. And Buy.com is an easy site to use. Was this review helpful?
