Using patent pending technology, this palm-sized box harnesses the power of the graphics card in your system and is capable of adding multi-monitor support to compatible notebook and desktop computers. DualHead2Go is simple to install as it connects to the existing single monitor output (i.e. external VGA output) of a computer. A single display workspace physically limits the amount of information that you can see. Constantly having to open and close application windows can be cumbersome and time consuming, thereby making it more difficult to multi-task and reducing effectiveness. With the adoption of a dual-display workspace, the work process is streamlined and management of multiple documents is simplified because a workspace is now double in size.     I have win XP a 1.2GHz Athlon on a AOpen AK73 PRO MB with a GeForce 4000 MX, and this box still made my two 17" Samsung Syncmasters into a 2580 x 1024 screen with little to no weight to my systems performance. Easy to install if you follow the instructions to the 'letter'. Doesn't overheat or glitch. Makes life easy with the video handling between two screens.

    I would rather have one large monitor but this works when you have extra 17"-19" around the office. Takes some getting use to with sizing program windows to if within the screen and not have dialog boxes pop-up on the seams of the two monitors - but it is doable. Very handy when viewing data in two programs side-by-side!

    This Matrox product continues the legacy of the maker and provided a great solution to using multiple leased monitors as opposed to buying new larger monitors which could not "ease" the use of multiple Excel spreadsheet viewing. It is very useful where multi-monitor manipulation is needed for organizing many applications especially where macros and graphics interface and update between open applications. A very good investment in a lasting product.
