| | | Revolutionaries in their own rights, John Lennon and Groucho Marx did not share much common ground with their Communist namesakes, or even with each other. Where they do overlap is through their very humorous and irreverent takes on life.
| Author Bio| Yoko Ono | | Yoko Ono is primarily known as the wife and muse of John Lennon. Unlike Lennon, she has never been a very popular figure; many hold her responsible for the breakup of the Beatles. But Ono, whose name means Ocean Child, is an artist in her own right. She was a leader in the Fluxus art movement, and has been a prolific maker of music for decades. A number of rock bands have acknowledged their debt to Ono's idiosyncratic singing style. She has lived at the Dakota apartment in New York City, the site of her husband's murder, since the 1970s, and has conscientiously overseen the release of a great deal of his music in the decades since Lennon's death. |
